Can VAR be used to overrule goal line technology?

If they have the technology available, I don’t see why there can’t use it ?‍

The view they showed level with the goal frame (second replay I think) appeared to show daylight. Definitely over the line.

Isn't it there for clear and obvious errors? If the goal line technology isn't functioning correctly then surely it has to be looked at by VAR? They've not showed the overhead angle yet that would suggest that it's either not working or wasn't turned on or something equally as stupid. Either that or the fact it went over the line behind the post meant it didn't register on the goal line technology system?

I'd be fuming if that happened to us. And would be screaming for the proof.
