You can clearly see they are all playing to Jose’s instructions, including Tanguy...

give it quick and early, pass and move

do not give it away allowing us to be countered on

sometimes these tactics can indeed suffocate his flair and v a team like Burnley or Palace if we don’t score early we run the risk of a set piece shoot out like the other night- thankfully for once we scored and the opposition didnt

Once a year you can give a 3 hour lecture in perfect English?
".... and I think that comprehensively describes the multi-dimensional aspects of the Holographic Universe Theory and its paradoxically tangential and yet fundamental interconnectedness with Einstein's theories on relativity"

"But professor, how can one then marry Newtonian and Quantum mechanics into the theory and still hold to Unified Field thinking?"

"Que?"

Many years of study. Although I think that at the team level my English is Lucas Moura. Sometimes you understand me and sometimes you don't. ??

"Hi GLC10 you ok?"

Lucas English "COME ON YOU SPURS!"

"Okaaaay. Not what i was expecting...Can i interest you in a drink?"

Lucas English "COME ON YOU SPURS!"

Tanguy is one of the best ball progressers in the world, his passing, ability in tight spaces, and his body movements to unbalance opponents and go by them are his best attributes. Therefore in the long run, I really think that he is best as an 8, where he will see the ball more. You want the players who have the ability on the ball and the ability to advance the ball on the ball as much as possible. At the same time, I recognize that he is doing great as as a 10 now. He's shown his willingness to track back and he's worked really hard for the team. I think he'll be best as an 8, and this allows him and GLC to play together, which is frightening.

It would make for a proper tasty midfield, although looking at the heat patterns at half time yesterday we were playing more of a 4-2-3-1 with Ndombele central in the attacking three rather than part of a three man midfield.

Sissoko and PEH were holders so depends on whether Jose feels he can afford to lose this defensive screen or not.

Lo Celso is combative though so could possibly play a little deeper alongside PEH.

I think he'll really come into his own playing the deeper role where his ability to beat the press and play killer passes will be extremely dangerous. At the moment I think he's playing further forward to counteract any fears about his match fitness. He has however shown that he can last 90 minutes and certainly isn't afraid of a tackle.
