You can see not playing is knocking his confidence, and putting him on the periphery of games when he does come on- like last weekend. I want to see more of him and instead of Dele and Lucas.

I forgot to post this earlier but he played phenomenally in both games for the Netherlands on the right flank. Scored a fine goal in the first game, came on a sub in the second game and looked like the only attacker who could make something happen against Italy. No Italian player could get the ball off him.

I guess it depends if Bale comes in, but prior to the news I was hoping he’d make the RW/ RF role his own. Think he’s a much more talented footballer than Moura, and the pressing can be taught. SB has so much quality on the ball. He does need to be believe in himself more and get at defenders. He has what it takes to skin defenders and get off a nice cross, and we’ve also seen him finish well.

And if we get Gareth back, it would be a great learning experience for SB on how to play direct.

Bergwijn is better than Moura and is more creative than Son. For me "if" Bale comes it would be Kane, Bale and Son/Bergwijn. For me Moura could leave.

I have a feeling if Bale comes in, it will be Lamela and Lucas that make way with Bergwijn and Sessegnon as the options. Younger, lower wages and in Sess case homegrown.

Can imagine Levy will want to balance the books in this way

Surprised he hasn't played more for us - looks like an absolute player. Seemed to settle just fine as well. Could be just because Jose has a crush on Moura..

I don't see why people are surprised Lucas was starting over him, some of you seem to have very short memories. Lucas hit form towards the end of the season and was arguably our best player in the NLD. Jose prefers Lucas because of his defensive contributions to the team, his tackling, his work rate, his counter pressing, don't let the average performance on Sunday distract you, Lucas is seemingly favoured by Jose over Steven because he is able to follow his demands to a tee.

You haven't even got Lamela in the running. Wouldn't he be the first to go?

With Ndombele still not fit and lack of cm, we could line up like below. Wouldn't be as defensive, and those 3 could swap during the game.

Hojbjerg Lo Celso
Bergwijn Bale Son
Kane

I was close to adding Lamela, but I just couldn't! He was part of our Bale money but again I just prefer him as a player to Moura. More intelligence with him but again upgradeable. That team of yours makes me moist.

According to a few sources (including TalkSport) he was in line to start over Dele but he came down with a migraine.

He definitely has a creative side to his game that our other wingers (bale included) don't have. He's calm and decisive with his passing, and he seems to weight his passes perfectly too. Definitely has the tools to play centrally.

No way we’re signing Gareth Bale to play him out of position as a #10.

Bergwijn for me should be ahead of moura. People forget he's still young and new to the league. Hes also picked up a lot of niggles and injuries so agree with bedding him in slowly. Also we might he looking to move moura on and playing him to up his value and put him in shop window. Moura does not score or create enough to be in this side currently

Interesting to see Moura gave ball away something like 21 times against Everton and Bergwijn gave it away 0 times. Serious difference in footballing ability between these guys and comes down to what you want, lots of effort chasing the ball because we lose it so often or retain possession and make the opposition chase the ball.
