Wonder whether he's a player that needs consistent playing time, every other game maybe isn't helping him. Looks unlikely to happen though right now.
Had a shocking half today.

Thing is with Bergwijn good footballing brain but very average physically and technically.
He’s good technically but has no confidence in his body right now. He doesn’t try anything difficult.

It doesn’t help that he literally looks like a child next to their CBs. This is not promising.

He was poor tonight, quite a lazy looking performance imo, always looking for the easy option rather than making a run etc.

He's been playing really poorly this season. I've wanted him in the side rather than Moura, but neither is good enough & add to that Bale's poor form & we don't look to have anything like the right combination to challenge for anything anytime soon.

He should still be ahead of Lucas, to be honest. Bergwijn hasnt been playing geeat but Lucas kills our possesion more often than not and doesnt have that great of end product. He’s just a hard worker. That’s pretty much about it.

Jose values hard workers. I'd take Moura over Bergwijn every time personally.

Bad performance but still think he's a good player. Very hard when your getting a few minutes here and there to put in regular decent performances.

Strange how the perception has changed so much regarding him. Last season it felt like he could really add to our attack and now all of a sudden he feels like one of those players who you can't greatly rely on to produce enough.

I guess with Lucas you at least know what you're going to get. Definitely a good player, just hope he can bring his ability out. Need to see more of like we saw with him for his goal at home to United, running at the defence and being a threat.

What happened to his electric pace? When we first signed him he could put the after burners on and escape anyone. Now he looks weak and slow. Confidence or injury?

Yep , I saw that . Strangely slow last night . No way Bergs is better for the team than Lucas . Bergs has never shown great form ,with Lucas there's always a chance .

He looked gassed after about 60 mins each game last season but this season he looks like he can barely run from the first minute. Don't know what is going on with him.
