He is just about 20, tbf - a loan to Ajax wouldn't be the worst thing for his development if he can't get minutes here
Needs Tagliafico to leave. We should him find a loan where he will be starting left back

Think he's in the same boat as Christian Ziege was, not a good fullback in a flat 4, but perfect for the wing back

That might be right. I'm just not sure. He's still so young he can pick to be honest. It's difficult to say where he'll end up.

He doesn't have searing pace, he's not a great crosser - he's a good all rounder (for his age) but I'm just not sure what that means for what his best position will end up being.

To be honest I think he could be quite an effective central (maybe defensive) midfielder, but there seems to be a strong bias in playing him on the flank

I personally believe Sessengon is a wing forward. The goal he scored against BM is an indicator of his potential playing further forward.
I too was told by a Fulham colleague that Sess would be wasted at full back it was said his brother although that as good is better suited.
Unlike Danny Rose who was a winger, converted to become a wingback Sess doesn't have the aggression.

Ajax are not going to loan him as a stopgap. They’ll want a provision to buy him if he’s any good.

Feels like a waste, but then again if we really are looking to develop him at LB then going somewhere where he will play a lot makes sense.

EL football though should mean loads more games available to him.

Aside from the odd European game experience at Ajax, the competition in Dutch league football wouldn’t be great. We’d be better off loaning him to the Championship for a tougher standard and intensity if we were to even consider a loan. I personally see him having a place in our team next season but a loan to another PL club or Bundesliga would be fantastic for his development.

He's already been Championship Player of the Season, loaning him a Championship club would be utterly pointless.

I'm not convinced on the idea of Sess as a wide forward, never was convinced at fulham either. He hasn't got that ability to take people on, or that directness. Sess got a lot of goals and assists in the championship, but almost all of these came from good efficient movement and decent technique, but that's easier to stand out in the champonship than the PL. For me this has always been the worry for Sess. in terms of how he can fit in at the highest level.

Part of me things he could actually be more useful in a central attacking position.

Utterly insane that he cost that much money and has played so little

Well the playing so little is why he’s potential going out on loan.

He needs Game time and well pretty unlikely he’s getting 40+ games for us next season. So send him out and see how he does.
