Also, Hoffenheim are playing the Europe League this season, which sort of explains why Ryan didn't feature for us, maybe? Will be good to see him across all the competitions and I bet we included a "can't compete against parent club clause" if we somehow end up playing Hoffenheim in the EL .

The German translation drowns out Ryan's actual interview. Excited to see how he does.

I don't think those clauses are allowed to apply in European competitions. There's been a lot of top players playing against there parent clubs in the past few seasons thinking of Coman and Coutinho as the main examples.

As Vice president of the South Germany Spurs I offered him on Instagram the possibility to join us for some Spurs watch. (y)

Good call. Well, know I hope we do get to play Hoffenheim in the EL!

According to the BBC write-up he played a part in both goals today. Assisting Nketiah for the winner, and putting in a cross which was deflected in for the opener.

I didn't see either and I appreciate context is everything, but it's great to hear of a bit of end product. I'm hoping the season ahead can really give him the confidence to come back next season and compete in our squad.

Penalty for England was also awarded after his pass to Justin(?)

The first goal was all him, good run inside the fullback (good pass to be fair Justin James) ran directly at their RCB (never seen him that confident in a Spurs shirt) and a good looking cross diverted in the goal.

I watched bits, he looked much more confident and direct than the Sessegnon we know. Skipp also looked very tidy and addured in the bits I saw.

Suffered from a major lack of confidence and playing it safe in a spurs shirt ! Quality player in there hopefully he comes back confident next season

I caught some of the game, I've recorded it, and tidy was exactly my opinion of Skipp too, always showing for the ball and moving it on quickly. Sessegnon caught my eye though, I didn't know he was in the team but did well when he moved to the left and I agree he looked comfortable and confident.

I watched the game in full. He’s certainly put on more muscle mass. Not as slight as he once was. I thought he played well overall.

Skipp had a very good first half. 2nd half he was a bit sloppy and caught in possession more than you’d like to see.

Bellingham looks a player. Aaron’s didn’t make me wish he was at spurs.

Starts tonight for U21 against Turkey

He played a nice ball/assist for our second goal last night from the right. Some posters have suggested trying him there. He looked good on that side when he played there albeit for a short period last night. He looked confident throughout and a lot better player than Hudson-odoi on the other wing who looked very poor.

‪He just came on to make his debut for Hoffenheim ‬

‪They’re currently 1-0 down against Dortmund at home ‬
