I’d only bring him on when the opposition are getting tired, really could be doing with trying to replace him

He cannot play a pass.

50% pass completion yesterday from only 21 passes i believe.

Time for Steve B to get a chance.

For some reason he is one of Jose’s favourites so get used to him being around and playing week in week out next season.

he really is a headless chicken that i struggle to see what his strengths are.

Had you ever the feeling Lucas is giving as a winger a defender 90 minutes a nightmare where they could not cope with him?

He runs around a lot and his sense for goals is actually not too bad, even though he could not show that in 2020 either.

I am getting tired of him being selcted and would rather keep Lamela than him.

I really like him as an impact sub but I cant get my head round why jose loves him so much.

Hes OK I mean he works hard and is so dangerous when he dribbles at opponents but at the moment he is being asked to play inside which makes finding space to run at other teams harder and negates his main attribute.

He did OK last night but I think the negativity comes from him not deserving this starting role.

Very high workrate, very direct.
I would hate to play against him as a full back because although the end product isn't there most of the time it could be so I would still have to put in the hard yards.

did some good things last night - like chasing down the ball like a nutter - forced Gomes to kick a longball out of play etc. He still has blistering pace.

Just can't stay on his feet.

Not that I think it's helping very much but he is in the shop window, reports of him being included in the Milik deal. Napoli haven't got any money yet are going to pay €70m for Osimhen!

Would be a great deal if we can pull it off. Lucas has a great attitude and works hard but I far prefer Bergwijn and think Milik, along with being a great backup to Kane, would give us far more options, including allowing us to dropping Kane deep (he's clearly the best passer at the club) or playing 2 up top.

Lucas, on the other hand, seems to create as many problems as he solves, given his erratic style of play.

Give him a go at RB / RWB

I think he has a tendency to drift inside too much; which is fine if you're right footed and playing off the left. but right footed and on the right and you'll run down blind alleys. if all he did was beat his man on the outside and whip in a cross he would be fine.

This is his contribution, I feel he always makes a difference when coming off the bench
And this smacks of not good enough. It was the same with Solskjaer at Man.U he was a great player off the bench but there was a reason he rarely started games because he wasn't quite good enough. To be honest I never watched much of him previously even though I knew of him and how he played RW for Brazil and PSG and thought what a steal when we'd signed him but again there is a reason PSG let him go.

He's a good pro, he works very hard and can produce moments of magic like the CL final but ultimately he runs down blind alleys a lot and doesn't produce much end product. Compare him to Bergwiegn who is much younger but produces more end product far more consistently.

I'm very happy with him as a backup/super sub role. But why on Earth he is a no doubt starter is blowing my mind.

He's played at least 45 minutes in every league game (outside of the United game) since December 4th. He hasn't scored in 15 straight games and only has 1 assist in that time frame.

Would love Willian over him, Willian seems to have a better end product and is more consistent.
