So what does everyone think we should do with him now? Keep him at the club in a depth role or look to send him out on loan?

Also, the fact that the club seems to rate Eyoma over him is actually very encouraging for future CB depth.

I think Eyoma has been injured

Yeah, that's why Tanganga made it on the tour and got the opportunity it seems like.

My point is that considering how good Tanganga has looked, the fact that the club seems to prefer Eyoma really says something about how talented Eyoma is. Having them both is excellent.

When they mentioned him in the commentary yesterday,at first I thought it was a poor attempt at Ndombele's forename!

Sorry read your post wrong. With Lyons-Foster and Binks coming through as well it looks like we are well stocked for young centre backs at the moment.

I don't think the club necessary rates Eyoma over Tanganga, its just that Tanganga like all of the academy has stagnated in the U23's whilst also struggling with injuries. Tanganga came in to the academy very highly rated

I assume the final nail in CCVs (Spurs) coffin.

Despite great performances at U18 and U23 level, CCV has always looked well out of his depth when playing in the first team.

However Tanganga has actually had back to back stand out performances this pre season.

Personally I’d loan out KWP I think Foyth looks a better option at RB cover. KWP just looks to weak Madrid were running rings round him where as Foyth had them pretty much under control. That would allow Tanganga to share 4th CB role with Foyth and he’d get some game time. And you’ve still got Dier if you need him. So effectively Tanganga takes KWP squad place.

Who's gonna play RB for the first two matches?

Very very impressed has this trait where you just don’t panic with him.

Seems a natural defender has some of those traits that Ledley has early on!

I’m happy he finally gets the recognition he deserves, he’s been a good player in our academy for years. I thought he would go for free this season, and that because he was stuck at the U23 he had stagnated but glad I’m wrong. I felt that Poch preferred Eyoma to him because Eyoma is better on the ball and can play RB as well, but this pre season Tanganga has been very composed with the ball. He’s not that tall but he can jump high, has scored a few headers these past seasons.

Also he’s a leader. He’s been captain for the academy sides and is very respected by the U-23 players. They listen when he talks. But he also seems to fit in with the first team players. Saw him joking with Sonny after today’s game

I just hope he doesn’t train with the first team without playing for the U23 and he will stagnate because lack of football as it has happened with a few players
