I said when the injury news and timeline for recovery was published that this couldn't be a complete ACL HAMSTRING detachment from the bone. He simply wouldn't have been able to do stretches and gym work as soon as he has.

It’s worth noting that with our players, operations are usually the last resort. We usually wait to see if injuries heal properly without the need for them. Eg. Numerous players.

Surely you realise this depends on the type and severity injury. In the event of a ruptured / torn tendon, surgery is a must and cannot be delayed. If a player has a ‘niggly’ groin or an inflamed joint then rest is advisable as surgery can be intrusive and detrimental to longer term fitness and health.

He was at John Lewis oxford street today but he used the escalators and not the stairs (make of that what you will...)

*prays the surgeon knew this.

Funny story when I done my knee the surgeon came in to see me before the surgery and pulled out a thick red marker pen. I had already taken some oral meds to chill me out so when the surgeon marked my knee with a large red "X" I laughed and asked him what that was for. He simply looked up and laughed back saying "So I do the right knee", I stopped laughing not sure if he was serious or not, then he just chuckled on his way out of the room. :cautious:

That's common practice in any surgery. Sounds silly but mistakes happen unfortunately.

Yeah makes since obviously but it was my first op and had been given diazepam I think so it seemed odd and the evil chuckle he had didn't help.

Just in time to lead our heroic charge for the Europa League places.

or a charge for 5th spot which will likely get a champions league place.

also I used to dislike us playing Europa league due to the Thursday - Sunday scenario but right now I think next season it may actually be beneficial for us to play in it. Play our reserves / kids in the group stages and then when the competition gets serious play the big guns. Will probably give our squad more of a break this way as for the past 4 seasons we’ve had to play our strongest 11 in every champions league game.
