i like Dele. He does things that others don’t or cannot. Let’s hope he isn’t not taking the place of Trippier, Rose, DIer etc as the object of hate. Makes me think of the guy who sits next to me who moans before a ball is kicked and whinges all game. I really have not time for endless whingeing

There were a number of incidents yesterday in the PL where a really good scoring opportunity was missed because the shot or pass was a poncey lame flick with the outside of the boot.
I can kick with both feet and I was a pub player (equally shit with both feet lol). Not naturally 2 footed but practiced just ball off the wall.
It limits your choices so much not being comfortable kicking with both feet.
If I stepped up to take a pen I'd honestly be thinking about which foot to use so I really dont get it.
I think they can but for some reason choose not too which is even worse.
Annoying whatever the reason.
I think some foreign countries, Brazil etc, focus far more on being 2 footed than European players and everyone focuses on it more than British players lol.

The most infuriating part of Dele’s refusal to use his left foot was that every single one of his glorious chances only required a side foot or a toe poke... the most basic of foot movements. Fair enough to try and shift the ball if you need to place and/or belt the ball from range but not when any simple contact would have led to at least a save and/or a real possibility of a goal. We know he can use his left foot as he scored from a tight angle and off balance with it against Watford. Yesterday should have been a draw and would have been had it not been for an Engel special. Missing the amount of glorious chances Alli (and others) did is quite simply unacceptable at this level of football.

The biggest asset he had, and will ever have, is that he took everyone by surprise. He was a more mature player than anyone expected from an 18 year old coming into the Premier League and he cemented a starting place far earlier than anyone at the club could've hoped.

He had the physique and a good engine, he was confident and he had an instinct for getting into good areas and scoring. Those first two years here were brilliant because he shocked everyone, then shocked us again when he repeated it.

Unfortunately shock factor is only going to last so long and the higher his reputation has become, the more attention he receives in games and he really doesn't have the technical ability to get himself out of close, high pressing situations. He was never a technical player, even at his best, and that's becoming more and more apparent.

I know it's hard to admit but take away the goals, which are drying up, and you have a very limited player who doesn't have the pace to get away from defenders as a forward and can't really dictate a game from midfield. Either keep him as an impact bench player or sell him, but he cannot be a guaranteed starter if we want to achieve more.

Disgree with just about every word of that.

Oi Dele, if you're reading this you need to seriously step up now and start scoring some damn goals.

We need him now more than ever, he is the only thing that resembles a striker left in our squad that is fit or ready.

Sick of watching Lucas up front.

This is pretty wide of the mark. The issue with Dele is consistency and decision making

he could easily have scored a couple vs villa and he would have been flavour of the month again

he was sensational in the first 4-5 games under Jose which shows he can still do it

the Frequency he delivers is too low - seems an output and application issue rather than latent skill set not being good enough now people pay more attention to him

Could it have just been a bad day on the finishing front.

What was extremely impressive with Alli was the amount of opportunities he managed to get into. Grealish was impressive and I really like him as a player I'd love us to get him at Spurs but he couldn't get near Alli in terms of scoring chances.

When all you do is play football all day, why is it so difficult to work on your weak foot? Its not that hard and I don't understand how as a professional footballer you can't use your weak foot.

It's things like that which really annoys me about Alli, and he isn't the only one either.

Personally I see that as a coaching issue. Sure, he could work on it in his spare time, but ultimately the coaches should be trying to improve him as a player.

We all see things like films and TV programmes and football players differently .
Dele at the moment because Kane is not playing is targeted as a danger by the opposition along with Son .
When Kane is back the pressure on him will be lessened and he will have a bit more freedom to produce as Kane will be the main target for opposing teams
. For myself I see a committed whole hearted player that is suffering from being under the utmost pressure from the teams we play . You would think that he was some kind of ogre the way some talk about him I just don't get what comes across as hate almost .

Excellent point (y)

Showing bad attitude when subbed again, things could get nasty with him if this carries on, I can imagine Jose getting quite frustrated with him.
