That’s a Gazza classic, the easy to find one was so McCoist didn’t go looking for the other one, ensuring the car would smell for weeks. I’m sure I heard he scrapped the car in the end.
There's a prank where if someone has their own room then whilst they're out and being distracted you access the room and equipped with a needle and thread and a bag of frozen prawns, take the curtains down put a row of prawns into ether one sides or the bottom edges of the curtains then stitch the curtains over with just enough material and a neat enough job that it goes unnoticed for months, then place a few where they'll be found quite quickly, same subterfuge as the Gazza one, they keep thinking they've found the offending item.

If your sewing skills sucks then just stitch loads on the on the rear of the curtains where they'll be obscured by the curtain pole for a while.
I also cannot condone lifting the bottom out of wardrobes/chest of drawers and putting frozen fish products in there. Nor shrimp paste under the innersoles of someones boots/shoes...

I really hope so.

But there’s a tiny, nagging doubt and I hesitate to mention it because I’m worried I’m chasing phantoms.

Am I alone in thinking that he looked really petulant and almost mutinous when he was stripping off to come on? I hope I’m just projecting, but he didn’t look as if he wanted to be there. Is it just me?

I didn't see it like that, I do think it's dawning on him that he's going to have to work his nuts off to even get a start in the Europa group matches, perhaps he thought he'd at least be starting those.
He should also be assured that José is showing he's using the whole squad so don't get too disheartened.* And he's swapping formations which would mean he's able to play.

*This is partly the media being way behind the times when questioning any player being left out, the days of a set first XI rarely exist now, as Poch kept reminding them he can only start 11 it's rarely a malicious thing if player X or Y doesn't start. Yet old outdated jobs for boys pundits love to create a drama out of such things.

I honestly hope you're right. A settled Dele who's learnt how to fit into Jose's system can't be anything but a good thing.

He definitely looked like that IMO, whether it was him not wanting to be there I'm not sure but he definitely looked somewhat miserable, maybe a little pissed off. Used to play with a little bit of a smile on his face but you'd think his face would crack if he were to smile now.

I don't think it's the worst thing if he's annoyed, as long as he channels that anger in the right way. I think the football he was producing fully warranted him being dropped but hopefully he feels that way too, so he fights harder as opposed to having a chip on his shoulder.

There's got to be few in the group pissed off at Lamela not getting his head up or passing sooner of that I'm confident. (TBF Winks is guilty of that too at times just not as often when a teammate's now blowing out of his hoop to make the sprint the full length of the pitch)

He's always been like that.

Personally, I think its a temporary stay of execution. If the right money comes in, he will be off. Having said that, I thought he played well, and would love Dele to prove me wrong, as he is a class act.

Looks to be applying himself well and unlucky to not score.

If he was playing for many fergie though that 70’s porn tash and blonde highlights perm would be getting shaved right off ?but in all seriousness I like dele but this kind of look sums him up a bit at the moment, just go back to dele of 3 years ago please, have a shave, get a hair cut, splash some water on your face and knuckle down because you’re a world class talent dele but you need to have a world class attitude and work ethic like Kane, son etc.

Dele still has a big role to play for us but it’s down to him.
Do you remember David Beckham?

I know you're not the only one saying this but who fucking cares how he wears his hair and how he shaves. That's a problem you address with your mate that can't get laid or paid. Dele is a professional footballer with a banging girlfriend. I think he's been doing alright.

He put in a good performance tonight and Mourinho has been speaking positively of his work ethic lately. Just because he wears a stache it doesn't mean he can't ball and doesn't work hard.
Completely get where you're coming from and if he'd always had Harry Kane or Son's attitude the whole time at Spurs then it wouldn't really get mentioned but as much as people might not want to admit it, one's image will always be judged especially top level footballers who are constantly in the limelight.

I agree he tried hard last night and seems to be knuckling down but it would be almost be metaphoric if he shaved the stache and got a clean trim and was like right i'm not going to focus on trying to be cool with a 70's porn tash and blonde highlights i'm going to 110% focus on my game. For the record I really don't think Dele's attitude is THAT bad, but clearly from the AON documentary and Jose's comments and the fact he's leaving him out of squads it could be better.

I don't care what people look like in general they can do what they like but as I said footballers unfortunately will always be judged and for me coming back this season with this look will have people just mabye not taking him quite as seriously as they used to and it does seem to reflect a bit where he is at with his career.

Its frustrating because there is a world class talent in there but you can't help but feel with all of his Instagram pranks and pictures and the way he carries himself that he must have a few people influencing him not 100% in the right way. As Jose said in AON, "I'm not saying Dele is a 'bad' trainer just that he is lazy and he is not training like Harry Kane".

What is also frustrating is I don't think he was like this when we first signed him and under peak Poch, he was playing with a smile on his face but with a serious edge as well, sure he's had injuries which we have to take into consideration but it feels like he's stagnated and from what Jose and others are saying it seems that unfortunately that is a lot down to his own making.

There is a serious player there and one which I hope can re-appear soon.

That comes down to people reading into things too much in that case which should really be on them. If you can't critique or judge a footballer for how well he plays on the pitch then it's you who has the problem, not them.

Been waiting for someone to call him out, albeit this was subliminally. Dele honestly hasnt had a fuck to give about his football in years.

To give a bit more context, Jose was asked what Son needs to do to become world class. I don’t think he was digging out Dele.

It is probably more a dig at players like Pogba who are often labelled World Class but don’t perform regularly to warrant that status.

Since lockdown almost all of my football discussion has taken place over text or on twitter rather than watching with people in person and it is truly hilarious how people will twist agendas against realities. Imagine if Rashford, Pulisic, Pepe, or Mane had started the season in this blistering form, the collective wankfest would be unbelievable. I still see genuine opinions like 'Auba and Werner > Kane' and you realize how few football fans actually analyze reality, most cling to pre-determined agendas about what a player can do.

I especially love watching Son put 2 past a team and then the opposition fans downplay him as lucky or whatever else. Results > all else.

You’re reading whatever bullshit opposing fans on twitter put out. Stop doing that.
