Jose did nothing but big Toby up, couldn't speak highly enough of him. Signs a new contract then gets benched.

No its not. He is simply not good enough. He has been here a number of years and I dont think he has progressed at all. His positioning for the third goal was awful. We need to sell and replace him in the next window. Need two centre halfs. I saw someone else here going on about his passing stats in the match!!! Can he defend, thats the issue. Not flippin passing stats.

He’s had more than enough games where he’s been very good defensively. What he needs, like all the side, is a balanced and drilled system. He’s got time on his side.

He makes mistakes in every game. He plays like a kid out of the academy, but he's not a kid anymore. There has been no progression. And I dont see him ever getting there, but its only my opinion

He’s had more than enough games where he’s been very good defensively. What he needs, like all the side, is a balanced and drilled system. He’s got time on his side.

I think in most of the cases he’s done well, he’s had a very good CB alongside him and somewhat coasted off of that. Never felt like a leader to me and we very much need that in the heart of our defense (and midfield).

He is not good enough imo.
Can't judge the flight of a ball for toffee and doesnt want the ball. Plays easy sideways ball every time he receives it, normally back in the direction it came from.
From Toby and Verts to Sanchez and Dier. Thats a huge step down.
Walker and Rose to Aurier and Davies.
Thats a huge step down.
Eriksen and Dembele to Sissoko and Ndombele? Winks? (LoCelso may come good). Either way its a huge step down.
Apart from that we're really moving forward.

He makes the same mistakes game after game. He’s not going to change. This is him as a player. Sometimes he gets away with it and it gets brushed over, sometimes we get everyone behind the ball and defend our penalty box like Man Utd and he gets protected and made to look better than he is. The truth is our whole defence needs replacing and that’s not an exaggeration
