Ultimately the guy is good enough currently, with potential to get better

We'll need to sign another CB this summer (Koulibaly?) with Verts leaving, and that should be enough to take us forward

I love people trying to write him off. It's not his fault you have absolutely no fucking clue what you're talking about, or what makes a good defender. The lazy, stock criticisms constantly shat out of some of your mouths are embarrassing. Toby humps the ball into our goal whilst Sanchez outperforms him comfortably, yet some losers flock to this thread to call Sanchez clumsy. You are fucking weird, obsessed with player's price-tags, desperate to score internet points by writing somebody off first and praying to be proven right if they eventually don't cut it. You must be deeply unsatisfied in your personal lives.

I just find he’s easily bullied and struggles up against big powerful strikers and runners. He’s not very good on the ball either.

He’s clearly not as good as we’d hoped he’d be, but he’s still got time to develop.
Big powerful strikers tend to bully most centre backs. Judas was one of the most imposing centre backs I ever saw, but used to massively struggle with Heskey. That’s why teams play these strikers.

What, like you do ? anyway if you don't like people having a different opinion to yourself then perhaps you shouldn't be on a forum !

Yeah.

I have no issue with people having different opinions, but I'm bored of some of our shit fans spouting ill-informed criticisms with no bearing in reality as if they're fact. Also bored of our fans being ****s for being ****s sake. In my life, I've never encountered a group of people as miserable and negative as Spurs fans online.

If you don't rate Sanchez, I absolutely know more about football than you. The problem is, so many people who have never kicked a ball in their lives think they're experts because they've got access to the internet and the ability to post on forums/social media. It shows when they regurgitate the same lazy criticisms they've seen from other pseudo-experts they've read online.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a differing opinion and that's totally missing the point of Spurrific's post anyway.

If someone went into the GLC thread and called him one footed, frail and slow, you'd have the majority of the SC community jumping them for posting such fucking nonsense.

Frankly it's not too dissimilar to the idiots in this thread abusing Sanchez when he's been a fucking brick wall for the majority of the season. It's fucking moronic and smacks of people having agendas.

I think you are dangerously close to be the exact thing you are quite arrogantly accusing others of being...

first of all, an Internett fora for Spurs supporters - aren’t we suppose to discuss the qualities of players? And as we all are accusing other clubs fans to be - delusional - wouldn’t it be weird if not some our players are maybe not good enough of what we aspire to achieve?
I mean, we are getting like 1,5 points every game - which in a normal season is close to mid-table. It doesn’t seem like we have a fantastic squad by the measure of points.

I for one, doesn’t rate Sanchez, Verthongen, Dier. I have issues with Toby, Davies, Aurier, Dele Alli and Moura.
But every game-day I am fully behind every player, hoping the are really good and achieve a lot of Success - as my happiness relates to some degree on how Spurs are doing.

but then after the game, I would Expect people to share their views (good and bad) and not be accused of having an agenda, or to be «claiming facts» which is what you are doing yourself.

My only agenda is for Spurs to do well.

and for the record, I have most likely kicked a ball equal or more times than you :) (y)

We should sell him and buy another player, copy paste this in every thread - it'll be Bergwijn's turn soon no doubt.
Agree. If we want to succeed then we need to improve on every player we have.

Forget all the settling in, team dynamics, room for players improving etc. Lets just buy 18 players in the summer better than what we currently have.

So what is your back ground in football ? apart from running the Dog and Duck pub team on a sunday morning.

No criticism at all from me. He’s growing quietly confident and capable CB in my books under Mourinho.

He already was under Poch. He needs a true left sided CB next to him. We’d look more balanced and he’d look better. He’s an RCB by trade. No mistake he was brilliant his first season with us when he partnered Jan most of the season. If Jan was younger, we’d be cooking right now. Now we somehow need to sign a 5-6 years younger version of Jan.

Explain this bold bit, because you've said something that means nothing - and you definitely sat there thinking it was super poignant. What am I being that I've accused others of being? Have I randomly started chastising Sanchez with ill-informed critiques without knowing it?

If you want a quick litmus test as to whether you're talking bollocks, look at your likes - see the weird little mute creep Zond has liked it, then palm yourself in the face. The guy literally hates Spurs and negs anybody sticking up for our players while positively repping those who don't. That's the company you run with.

Shut up, mate. You think I'm going to actually run down my footballing history on here? Never played for a pub team because ripped Adonises like me don't drink. Just know that if you, Zond, Tit&Ham and 3 of your finest boys wanted to play 6vs1 against me, I'd run rings around you, leaving you all dazed, confused and on the floor with little cartoon birds flying around your heads.

Why is he being criticised yet Alderweireld gets none especially since Toby is the experienced defender and Sanchez has been far better than him this season?
Perhaps you need to ask Jose and Poch because Toby has started 6 games more under Jose and 1 game more under Poch than Davidson

like your last part :)

No I don’t think I am super poignant as I don’t know what that means...

for clarity, this is part of your post that I was refering to: «fans spouting ill-informed criticisms with no bearing in reality as if they're fact. Also bored of our fans being ****s for being ****s sake.»

No need to be so grumpy. You like Sanchez - that’s super fine.

match day so let’s Get behind them all...
