What are you getting all excited for and read again what i wrote ? i know exactly what a screen does, i was just making the point that having a screen in front of a CB doesn't make him a good player, it might make him look a better player and the team might concede less goals but it doesn't actually make him a good player.
You said having a screen doesn't make him a good player. My point is him not having a screen is what makes him look a bad player. He is a good player playing with no cover.

Its very possible that his problem is confidence and having faith in himself. At times he has looked assertive and sure of himself and at times the complete opposite. Im willing to give Jose a go at getting him more confident and focused. Then we can see how good or bad he really is.
When he came into the league he looked very comfortable (he was perched between Toby and Jan originally,it was a secure area) but since has been a mixture of both positive and negative. Poch put a lot of strain on the players for his system and maybe Sanchez couldnt keep up. Mourinho seems to be putting less pressure on them and giving them more of a boost so maybe just that will help

This guy is so bad that even when the team makes a really good game you can tell he's the weak point.
I genuinely can’t believe you’ve paid attention to a single second of that game against Burnley if you’ve come to that, quite frankly, moronic conclusion. Sanchez was absolutely immense and won everything that was thrown his way.

Pleased to see that Sanchez
is learning to stay on his feet
under Toby's watch.
and shepherd his man
instead of trying to
outmuscle him.

Like what Ledley did.

I don't care wether he's our best defender at the moment or not. He's young and he has so much natural talent and therefore it's crucial that he keeps playing. The center back position really has a steep learning curve and his reading of the game, his ball distribution etc will improve with age.

He has been the best at defensive duties at CB. Now if you are talking full package, including distribution and playing from the back....that is where he gets into trouble. He is still not comfortable on the ball.

If you look back through the post's it was this post i was replying too "He can still become good, put a proper cm pairing in front and that can change a lot " hence the reason i wrote what i did, incidentally having a screen in front of a CB doesn't make him a better passer of the ball now does it ?
