He's been here yonks, and I didn't mind his outspoken nature tbh, although he cocked up (and was punished accordingly) with the interview when walker left. But it turns out he was actually saying some home truths that have come to fruition somewhat.

Either way, he leaves with my thanks, and I hope he starts to enjoy himself again.

He threw his toys out of the pram because he wasn't being offered the big bucks, despite being injured for 6 months, and the team performing better without him. Since then he's continued to speak to the press whenever he wasn't happy about anything. He's a hugely disruptive influence in the club

Indeed, and he spent a whole season isolated from the team as a result. So that could have easily been curtains for him.

But he knuckled down and earned his spot back. Haven't all the succesive interviews he's done been about himself and the game at large, rather than specifically moaning about the club? If he had done the latter then he would have been booted again, right?

All those stories in the paper about players being unsettled, or not liking Poch's training, or fall outs with Mourinho that were attributed to an "unnamed source"... where did they come from?
