I honestly don't know where he would fit in our team. Also I don't think Jose would move heaven and earth to integrate a player who actively voiced his desire to leave for the short time they both spent together at the club.

No doubting he is an absolutely class player, but I can't see why we would be interested.

I wouldn't be against it... You see how we go back to struggling once you take Ndombele and Lo Celso out of the midfield.

The point being - we need depth in the squad to ensure we have sufficient creativity once our first team are out. Which of course is right.

But is the right answer, bearing in mind whoever came in would likely be back up, not be to find a younger (frankly cheaper) player (a youngster for instance) who would be more prepared to act as a back up and who could develop?

As much as I loved him as a player in his prime, I think we should be looking elsewhere.

£200k a week for a 28 year old back up feels wrong

Spent 12-18 months looking for a move. Put in mainly lacklustre performances for said period. Now rarely starting and being mainly used off the bench. He'll be playing in Turkey or Holland in 12 months time.

Amount of fucks given by me. Zero!!

Like I said before, why should we help save his career when him and his agent tactically bent us over a barrel and forced us to sell him cheaply? I won’t forget the fact he publicly asked to leave just 4 days after our CL final loss in a game where he produced absolutely fuck all.

Fuck him. I’m much happier seeing him rot on Inter’s bench than ever come back to us. Prick.

I could see us moving Dele on and bringing Chris back. Would be a much better balance to the squad.

Isnt working for the fact we have already too much Non HG players.

Come on guys, Eriksen has not shown anything the last two years. He was great in his prime for us but he has let us, Levy and Jose down before and should not be looked at again. There should be better value on the market.

I'm a big believer in forgiveness and moving on. Water under the bridge. If he wants to come back and Mourinho is up for it, that's enough for me.
No place for sentiment when you’re trying to win things. CE can rot on the Inter bench. Let him live out his “new adventure”.

Fair enough but I think we have more pressing issues in midfield than creativity. We need robust and flexible midfielders to avoid having to play Sissoko and Winks most weeks.

He said that he wanted a new challenge and all that. Coming back to the exact same club he just left is like the worst decision for him. Just go somewhere else. We've moved on.
