Tanganga for me - what a debut. Yes, he got turned for the goal, but that could happen to anyone. He was brave, confident, assured, and didn’t look out of place against one of the best players in the league. Well done that man!

Shout out to Sanchez too - v good performance

Moura also very good first half - worked his socks off but had to do it on his own all the time as he was isolated.

Well done Jose - finally some passion, fight and game plan. Wasn’t always pretty but I feared the worst before the game.

Rose - 4 - only made one successful pass first half.
Winks - 5 - so negative in possession.
Eriksen - 4 - please stop picking him.
Dele - 6 - caught dawdling way too often.
Son - 6 - worked hard but fluffed his chances.
Moura - 8 - for sheer effort alone, he really tried to influence the game.

Lo Celso - 7.5 - would have been a lot higher apart from that glaring miss. Was a massive upgrade on Eriksen.
Lamely - 7.5 - another player who put effort in and tried to make things happen.

Winks - lack of vision gets caught too often 5
Eriksen - half the player he use to be playing out of position does not help 4
Lucas - works hard but he needs a good attacking coach to explain to him how to use his pace lacks vision also always seems rushed 6
Son - he is not good enough on the ball to play as a winger rarely beats a man or gets a decent cross in, missed good chance 5
Dele - if he is not played as a second sticker or attacking mid he is kind of pointless 4
Lamela - got into some decent positions if only he had vision and clinical shot 6
Lo Celso- showed glimpses of being a player should have scored 7

I thought Winks was great. He can handle the tempo.

Far too much back passing tonight rather than trying to influence the game going forward - chose the easy backwards option virtually every time which meant there was no outlet for the defence.

No agenda at all as I’d love to see one of our academy graduates do well, but at the moment I’d rather it was Skipp played rather than Winks on recent performances.
