If Liverpool bid £10m for Gazzaniga I will give you £20. Don't be so bloody daft.

A hypotethical Question was asked, is he worth 10m+ ?
And I answered it. Thats not me being daft...
Thats me, answering a hypothetical question. ?‍♂️ ?‍♂️ ?‍♂️

Okay well on the basis that he's knocking 30, and has 6 clean sheets in 61 Premier League appearances, even PSG and Manchester City wouldn't pay £10m for him.

No team in their right mind would.

Which is why we should offer him to Chelsea for £71m.

Here's the thing, I never said they weren't. I even said

6 weeks with Adrian flapping around in goal destroys their season and if we provide them with a huge upgrade then they won't fall back into the pack and frankly Jose and Levy would be negligent if they sold to Liverpool
If we don't sell them PG, they'll just buy another decent backup keeper instead.it's not like we'd be selling them a first choice player

String them along to just before deadline then pull the deal, it would be so amusing?

How many times and in how many different ways do I have to explain this. If Liverpool were on fire, even if they offered us £100 million to piss on them we should never accept it and help them.

If they go somewhere else, it is not our problem and we should not care

It depends who it benefits more. If we got a fee and a squad place that allowed us to get Skriniar a regular starter and improvement for us all season while costing them some £ and only fixing a short term problem (and really is he going to be that much better than Adrian?) when he doesn't strengthen them long term then we would just be being stubborn and stupid not to take that opportunity. If they were trying to sign someone from us that improves their first 11 and weakens us then absolutely it should never even be considered.

Sorry but that is ridiculous. We should definitely take a massive over inflated fee for a player we know is not making them better.

Nobody in the know or in the media has suggested that Skriniar signing is dependant on Gazza leaving so your argument falls down there.

Strengthening Liverpool long term is not the point, everyone and their mum knows that Alisson is first choice and will be straight back in when fit, however Liverpool seem to think Gazza is better than Adrian otherwise they wouldn't be asking the question. There is a very real possibility that Liverpool will drop more points because Adrain is weak and their defence don't trust him. For Liverpool the paltry sums mentioned in the thread would make signing him a no-brainer for Liverpool if it means not dropping 3, 6 or 9 points whilst Alisson is out.

None of us know what will happen this season but there is a very real chance that at the end of the season that the next 6 weeks could be the difference between them and us being in the Champions League and that's worth a lot more than the peanuts you lot seem to think we'd get for Gazza

It I'll improve them over the short term until their #1 keeper is back..... Not selling/loan them him means they will be weaker for now.

Its well nown we have too many non HG players. This is an opportunity to move on a non hg player that isn't going to play. The talk on Skriniar is being apart in value... get more money may not change that but you would think it would help. The only negative in this is how many points would gazza win them that Adrian wouldn't and I don't see the answer to that question being many at all.

This is the last time I'm going to engage because I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall. I don't care if Gazza leaves, I don't care about the fee all I care about is the destination.

Liverpool think he would earn them points, that reason alone is why he should not be allowed to go there. Whether you or I think that's the case is irrelevant.

I can explain it to you, I can't understand it for you.

Wow - great put down flame boy, will have to remember that one! :ROFLMAO:

If you seriously would reject £100M from Liverpool for Gazzaniga in the mistaken belief that you would be improving them, even if it facilitated us seriously improving our own position then you are not very clever.

Agree, but if we sign Skriniar then we do definitely have to drop one player from our non HG quota and with Hart seemingly no.2 choice now it would make zero sense for us to continue using a valuable non HG spot on our 3rd choice keeper.

So if PG is now 3rd choice then selling him makes total sense and if we bring in Skriniar of another non HG player today then it actually makes it somewhat of a necessity IMO.

Liverpool won't pay anything like £100 million for him

For the price they will offer I can't see it being good enough to let him go there, but might bring in other bids that we could look at.

Of course I know that. But then I was not the person who said they would not accept £100M from Liverpool out of principle as they would not want to help solve a short term problem they have with Allison injured.

Anyone who is adamant that they would not accept that figure, and insulting with it to boot, deserves to be called out.

We need to get rid of two non-homegrown to get Skriniar in

Doubt liverpool will come for him but Ramsdale went for 18.5m and martinez went for 20m having played like 15 game in the prem and even when on loan managed 32 games over 3 seasons at the likes of Sheffield Wednesday Rotherham and wolves he then managed only 5 games in la liga for getafe and then his most consistent football was 18 games for reading. He is same age as gazzaniga and has far less top flight experience. Gazza has played CL football. So I can see why he would be worth at least 10m going by todays market. Coupled with how liverpool always extract maximum money out of sales look at solanke ibe and brewster for example gone for like a combined 70m and they had no top flight experience. However I cant see liverpool coming for him can see a Fulham or someone like that though
