Just back from todays game and just thought I'd mention how good our fans were after todays match in giving a standing ovation to the Birmingham supporters and players.

It's little touches of class like this that really makes me proud to be a Spurs supporter, so well done everyone who was there

Yep, very nice touch indeed.

Its a shame though, that our supporters can do this and show respect to other supporters and players, yet fail to show any respect for our own manager.

Yep I felt slightly moved by how we just applauded their fans as they kept singing, and Paul Coit's comment directed at the Brum fans was bang on the right tone too. All in all our 2 clubs today showed a lot of what is still good and right in football, in spite of all that is wrong with it.

2-1 you beat the scum 2-1, followed by a round of applause. We can be quite classy.

I am so pleased to hear this because on TV when the second went in there was a shot of a fan with his thumbs down and about a hundred others waving goodbye.

I would never revel in a team being relegated. Unless it was the scum or chavs of course.

It was good of the crowd to do that.

For fear of being a bit narky, though, I would have to say Birmingham setting themselves up like that in the first half, when they really needed a win - make me kinda think they got what they deserved.

I thought that was a lovely moment too Markie. :)
BTW does anyone know why so many of the Birmingham fans were in fancy dress? It was a great sight!

I did feel very proud but also laughed at the differences: during game - "you're going down with the West Ham" and "We'll never play you again" but after the whistle: Respect and "You beat the scum 2-1". But that's the great thing about football and why we love it so much.

Bollocks to that, I don't like Brum.

I didn't really like the way they played today, Foster was time wasting mid way through the first half which is ridiculous! Still, their fans were admittedly excellent so was pleased they got the ovation.

Should of pulled their pants down and have them all a quik shine, whilst we were at it.

Seen as Paul Coit has been mentioned, i wish they would turn his mic down, my ear bleed .

Sorry but on TV it sounded like Spurs we're cheering the goals that went against Brum (the one's being announced at the ground) and there was fans in the West Stand waving to their manager singing "cheerio cheerio cheerio"!

I laughed. I don't like to see sides go down, but I hate the Brummie accent, I found their fans too cocky in the first half and I like Mick McCarthy and Wigan better!

I thought their fans were a credit to their club. Shame some of their players aren't.

I thought our cheering of goals elsewhere were for the ones against arsenal.

Nice gesture of the Spurs fans - but I think that gesture was more aimed at them for beating gooners in the L-cup final.
I am happy both B'ham & B'pool went down, as both teams are so called bone-crunching teams that so often ends up injuring Spurs players each time they play each others.

Considering Blackpool qualified for the Europa League through coming 2nd in the Fair Play league, I'd suggest that statement needs re-thinking mate!
