Yes we should try and make the logo of a company that's spent millions with us "subtle"

I think you're missing the point of what these guys pay for

"Guys here's £19m. Can you make sure no one notices us please?"

You must have missed the part where I twice mentioned how it's good for the company and the club then. I'm speaking purely from a fan perspective, ie when we had Investec as a sponsor and it didn't take over the whole shirt

I think this looks better (excuse poor Photoshop)...

Look quite good with the AIA in a brushed silver/grey also......

It's subjective. I never liked the Investec logo on our shirts. Actually if we're to talk about a dominating logo, then that has to be up there as the worst we've had. It was huge.

Yeah but it's colour fitted in with the shirt so it didn't take it over.

This

is much more subtle than this

It actually fits in with the theme of the shirt

I disagree.

It made the shirt look bland, not to mention it looked poor as the navy wasn't quite the same as on the kit.

I prefer this seasons kit to that one above.

Fair enough, but imo none of our home shirts will be nice until our next sponsor comes along. Sadly these days it's impossible to create a good shirt unless you have a nice sponsor

Quick question for anyone who owns the away and 3rd tops.

Are they both 'fitted' shirts? I have the home one and its fitted (whereas last years was 'regular')

Cheers.

Unless they used their nice circular logo with the mountains.
They put it on the OS, why oh why couldn't they have put it on the shirt, would have made an enormous improvement.

I've got real issues with this years shirt sponsor, it's hideous and ruins an otherwise decent kit.

Sorry if this is seen as OT, bht couldn't find a better thread to post it in. I'm considering ordering last years 3rd shirt. Could anyone with experience with the sizing help me choose a size please? It's the first Spurs shirt I'm buying and I can't decide weather to go with an S or an M. I'm about 5'8'' or 5'9'' and 36" around my chest. Normally I'd probably go for the M because for football shirts I definitely prefer loose to tight, but I don't want it to be too baggy and I know how different sizing can be. Thank you for any advice!

I'd go 5XL just to be safe :smug:

But Lufti didn't you think that mock-up w/Kaboul was nice? And wouldn't a reversed, away version (navy base w/white lettering) look cool? Also, do you not like the way the third kit looks?

I hate AIA (logo-wise) as much as anyone but even I have to admit that the logo- if paired right- can look decent (unlike Mansion, which looked absolutely awful no matter what the backdrop).

Just asking- because believe me I, like you, basically hate AIA as a sponsor (looks-wise), but I have seen mock-ups versions where I was ok with it...

Yeah, I think it looks alright on the third shirt and in some of the mockups, but it seems like the company have requested the sponsor be bright red on home shirts which is why I don't think our home shirts will look nice until we get a new sponsor

They're not going to be requesting anything, they pay for the space on the shirt so the colour and design is going to be their decision. If anyone gets to request a change of colour it'll be the club, which AIA seem to be quite happy to accommodate on the other kits, but the home kit is naturally going to be the one that gets the most exposure.

I'm surprised that they aren't using their actual logo still, but I guess their main goal is to push the name as much as possible in the market and continue to grow. I had no idea before how large they are as a company - they're worth $66bn!

The club should've used the color scheme for the away shirts that were leaked originally from thai/chinese wholesalers. Black and gold. Got one today. So much nicer than the navy and yellow shirt, IMO. Pleasantly surprised.

And before all you goody goods start bitching again at me, I also just bought 2 of last years shirts from the club for $115 total. No chance in hell was I going to be spending the $150+ for this shrit or even the $57 when it goes on sale next summer.

What navy and yellow shirt? Our away kit is black

Anyone else get the new Spurs catalogue in the post today and noticed Thierry Henry is modeling on every other page? It keeps putting me off while I'm looking through it but there's some nice looking new training kit and casual wear.

They also sell Tim Sherwood "Classic Giletes" for £20

Didn't know where to put this but apparently we have the 9th biggest kit deal in the World. Quite amazing for a "small" club (according to Arsenal fans):
