Maybe, although I think clubs often have a few deals lined up that they can pull the trigger on right up to the last minute.
Yeah, I imagine that they do.

However, as we've seen previously things can and do go wrong.

Look at Diallo for example, many of us believe he is our last ditch option should everything else be completed, now he's starting to get linked to clubs.

Even if clubs have stuff in the works, I imagine the are anxious to get deals over the line with good time.

At this point there is no point trying to rush through a deal. Even if everything is finalised today/tomorrow then the very earliest he is likely to play is next Sunday and even that wouldn’t be ideal as he needs to learn the system and try to settle.

Once we get to the final week I couldn’t care less if we sign players at the start of it or the last hour, we likely won’t see them until after the international break.

This. We don’t exist in a transfer bubble where we are the only club operating. The longer we dick about, the more chance of our options reducing.

I'd have had Diallo in ages ago. It remains to be seen whether he's good enough but that goes for all the others we've been linked with. He'd be settled in a bit by now and it looks like Sonny is out for a while. We're a Kane injury away from the clusterfuck we've all been dreading now.

Ornstein on Skriniar : Spurs’ pursuit of defender Milan Skriniar is well documented but that deal will not be easy to do. It is thought Inter Milan are seeking a sale or loan with obligation to buy for at least 40m euros plus add-ons, whereas Tottenham are likely to favour a loan with an option to buy.

If this is true that they're willing to go with the loan it's a win for us, let's cash our fucking chips in.

So apparently if past reports are to believed we have gone from inter wanting an outright buy and us wanting loan with obligation to inter willing to do loan with obligation but now we want it with an option to buy?

So is Hitchen still out there? It would be odd for him to return back before we've even lodged an official bid wouldn't it?

Think we'll know what way this is heading tonight when the Italian press give an idea of what's in the next day's papers.

I'd hope for some snippets some time around late lunch, I remain positive though (not that what I think matters :ROFLMAO: )
