You are Bob Monkhouse and I claim my £5
I imagine @Nine while nine to be relaxing in a room akin to that of Rowley Birkin QC’s lounge in The Fast Show (log fire crackling, Chesterfield chair, drinks trolley with crystal decanters) wearing a velvet smoking jacket - even though he doesn’t smoke - gently imbibing a cask whisky (a birthday gift from his French wife who‘s 15 years his junior), listening to an eclectic playlist, looking and sounding like a rugged and less follicly challenged Charles Dance.

Not sure if this is just rehash of all the other stories but ‘Skriniar to Mou’

I would have wanted the Inter fans to be a bit more devastated over losing skriniar. Seems he has been in quite a long slump performance wise. I guess I will just have to trust our scouting :)

The change in system hasnt shown the best of him, he doesn't appear to play his best when playing with a high line that Conte uses, so with how Mourinho plays we should hopefully see him playing at the high level he's played to previously.

Seems to me that a lot of them really highly rate him actually. The problem they have is that he's not good in a back 3 - plenty of them seem to think he is world class otherwise.

Some of them are commenting on the depressed market and how normally Skriniar would be worth a lot more but they are desperate to bring money in.

They also seem concerned that in a year's time Conte will fuck off, they'll revert to a back 4, and will de desperate for a player like Skriniar again. To quote one of the more poetic nerazzuri:

"If we sell Skriniar we'll end up with a sack of testicles"

In other news, the paragon of journalistic virtue that is Football.London have done what we've been crying out for and signed Skriniar in FM to simulate the entire 20/21 season and see what impact he made.

Apparently we're gonna come 3rd, win the Carabao cup (Bale brace in a 3-1 win against City) and reach the Europa semis. Skriniar was our rock at the back and made 56 starts.

Levy has absolutely no excuse not to sign him now.

Scrolled through quite a few pages and a lot of them sound furious at the prospect of selling him tbf. Most accept he's struggled on 3atb, but that in a back 4 he was far and above their best CB. Conte is not as a long term prospect by any means, so as soon as he is gone, they'll definitely regret selling Skriniar.

Agreed, I Actually saw a few suggesting moving to a 2 at the back to accommodate Skrin as he’s their best CB. Mixed opinions, many saying trust the manager, others saying just keep him till Conte leaves

He seems a tough bugger. Likes to take out the ball and the man! I can see the Stam comparisons, also Terry and Vidic too. He’s the sort of player that’s gonna cause lots of trouble in the Prem, with prima donnas like Bruno F, PEA etc. Excellent. Hahahaha.

Mourinho’s purchases are all mainly character upgrades on current incumbents. Incomings have mental strength and are winners. Skriniar, if signed, would help us have a tougher defensive mentality. Sanchez is quiet. Verts (when here) and Toby, whilst an excellent partnership, both seem quite chilled and quiet. Dier has leadership qualities but is still learning his trade at CB, and after a dominant display can then make basic errors. Skriniar could play alongside any of the other three and make our defence better.

This strengthening of the squad is long overdue and would give our first XI an incredible boost. back up ST is still essential but once that is done and hopefully this then we need to try and find someone to come in for Lo Celso as we have the same problem we had with Eriksen in that we look shit when he doesn't play.

Getting there bit by bit and although Mourinho isn't perfect I love that he is getting what we need out of Levy.
