He is solid, i watch Inter a lot, but the only somewhat realistic Inter player that i would want is Brozovic, much better CDM than Skriniar at CB. Skriniar is really slow and not that dominant in the air, but is a incredibly smart player and that shows in how much patient he is when defending. He could possibly be our best CB given that Mourinho defends so deep, but would be a awful deal trade a talent like Ndombélé for a player with physical limitations like Skriniar.

I thought skriniar won highest number of aerial duel !!!

I dont know about these stats, he is solid in the air and a very brave player, but i wouldn't say he is great in the air, maybe average to good. If the stats say otherwise, i am surprised.

Brozovic is an overated player who gets linked every window to every team in the World. He's good, but certainly not what everyone is making out on here.

Brozovic was integral part of Croatia WC run to finals . Started all key games & had a tackle success rate of 90% and passing accuracy of 86%. He was also progressive with his passing as well.

If anything he is underrated . Avg midfielders don’t have this number in world cups

His aerial numbers have suffered this season . But we can’t just look at numbers - context to this is Conte been playing back 3 with a highline... where number of balls to compete aerialy is quite less .

Skriniar is bit slow but a solid defender. This is why Conte selling him but Jose should be buying him given how far back our back line plays

Then what skriniar is good at as he is very highly rated?

Great tackler, good concentration, great positioning, and solid on the ball. The mental part of the game is where he shines, I really like how he reads the game, and on the ball he is not afraid to carry or pass the ball. By all accounts he has a great character and you can see on the field that he is as tough as they come. The only real worry is his speed, but he is a sound defender and can be one of the best, I just don't think it's worth to sacrifice Ndombélé for him. We would be too thin in midfield if we choose this swap deal.

If we went anywhere near Skriniar, Chelsea would 'Willian' us again.

Ndombele for Skriniar would not balance for me financially. Also, it would not provide us the right balance of the squad, we’d lose a progressive midfielder for a CB, and we’re not flush with creativity as it is. If we weren’t already looking at Kim, I could see the theory of replacing Jan, but it doesn’t stack up now.
I think with Kim our CB resources probably stack up. We have Alderweireld, Dier and Sanchez, pick any two from that three to start, then Kim with his physical and technical ability who perhaps just needs exposure, and then Tanganga fast coming into the picture. Another 12-18 months and as Toby perhaps starts to fall out of the picture, the other two should be ready, by which point Dier and Sanchez should be in/approaching their peak years of physical and experience.
If Ndombele does go, the for me I’d either be looking at Brozovic, alongside Hojbjerg giving us two quality defensive midfield options, of being a bit more forward thinking too, not out and out destroyers. Alternatively, I’d be looking at what Barca could offer us, Semedo to resolve RB, and maybe some Coutinho loan deal, instantly replace the attacking midfield intent of Ndombele also.
I believe these type of deals will be commonplace this summer as clubs try and trade rather than buy outright due to finances.

Brozovic can be Sissoko's replacement. Not Ndombele

That would shape us up better true. But if Ndombele is outgoing, another attacking minded midfielder needs to be sourced.

Seems to a bit of smoke about a swap deal. No idea if it's just regurgitated news stories or actually some more substance

I am so concerned about the creativity within the side if we give up on Ndombele.
Except Jose doe not even use him when we need creativity. He simply does not trust him to put in the shift needed, even if you are the "creative" force. He oozes creativity and probably the only player we have that really tries that forward pass through the lines, and i would love for him to up his work rate and get a regular start.
