Agree with other comments, I think player swaps will become more common this summer. Most clubs are struggling for outright cash purchases in the current climate and will have to get creative with how they freshen up the squads. For example, Hojbjerg and KWP, whilst on paper they are being claimed as seperate deals, the reality very little money will change hands, the values will likely be close.
On that basis, the Inter multi swap deal would make some sense. They trim out a couple of ‘expendable’ players and get some missing pieces of their squad puzzle, we do likewise. The catch point is who the tradeable players are. Skrinar would make sense as Jan’s replacement if we hadn’t already seen Dier move back and see Kim Min Jae as a cheaper backup option, albeit with potential. Adding both Skrinar and Kim doesn’t make sense. Brozovic was the other player, and that does make more sense.

Going by the Inter fans reactions, most want to keep Skriniar and feel like they'd be getting shafted if all they get is N'Dombele in return. It's interesting reading how a lot of fans outside of Spurs see N'Dombele as a lazy failure.

Swapping a creative player for a defensive one? Especially when we struggle to break teams down. Hopefully, we have some other players in the pipeline.

I hope we call lazio and told him whether they are willing to swap SMS with Ndombele ... Skriniar links doesn't sense when we have dier, toby, sanchez - 3 right footed center backs at the club ...

How are Lazio going to pay Ndombele £200k+ a week?

The same way they are already paying savic for around £100k per week and talks of new contract suggest they are going to give him £150k minimum

Savic is their highest earner and by all accounts is on about 80k a week. They are not paying Ndombele 200k. You seem to live in a football fantasy land.

Another CB linked. Tbh I would stoked if we were to sign Milan but on the other hand, Inter selling one of their best CB is never gonna happen

actually think that’s the most likely part of this “story.” By all accounts, they are looking to sell him.

excited to see this inter v Atalanta game later.

Dont think it is a sensible way to use funds, even if it is a player swap.

We are ok at CB, probably could use one more if Tanganga is used at RB but certainly dont need a big money big wages signing in that department.

Fair point around the scarcity of funds, but looming down the line, we are going to have a problem at CB when Toby ages out.

I know they played a decent game or two, but Dier/Sanchez is not good enough long term.

Can’t say whether this guy is the answer, but CB is a need at some point soon

Brozovic doesn't really make sense if we get Hojbjerg though.

He is solid, i watch Inter a lot, but the only somewhat realistic Inter player that i would want is Brozovic, much better CDM than Skriniar at CB. Skriniar is really slow and not that dominant in the air, but is a incredibly smart player and that shows in how much patient he is when defending. He could possibly be our best CB given that Mourinho defends so deep, but would be a awful deal trade a talent like Ndombélé for a player with physical limitations like Skriniar.

Both brozovic and hojberg can play in any cm role. Hojberg, ward prowse played in double pivot for southampton, neither of them are dedicated dm but they worked as team. Both of them can easily replicate it in spurs midfield. It will be tough midfield to break down.

I think it makes complete sense, Brozovic is a awesome DLP that has stamina for days, and PEH in my opinion is more of a CM, not that he attacks that much, but isn't great holding his position. I think a player like Brozovic would allow PEH chase the ball and would free Lo Celso a lot.

Brozovic would be good with Mourinho, his stamina is insane and Croatia made World Cup final with him in charge of marking opposing best player, literally just shadowing him the entire time. Mourinho knows how to abuse that and stop players from other teams. Against weaker teams he could play in a more attacking role, box to box style. Skriniar is probably better than anyone we have in defence but all top journos are saying that Mourinho rates Ndombele and wants him to stay (maybe so his stock doesn't fall too much).

Brozovic would be insane under Mourinho.. Actually both brozovic and skriniar are mourinho style players.. Hojberg and Brozovic would be tough midfield to crack for opponents specially in big games.
