Had my misgivings when he was hired but once it was done, felt he needed to be given a chance. However, can't help but feel this is the same Mourinho that was at Utd towards the end of his time there. Never bought into the 'new Mourinho with a new style' stuff and some of the recent showings have been utterly painful to watch and can't believe how bad it has got.

Can argue giving him a chance means giving him a couple of transfer windows to bring in some of his own players but have no faith ENIC will deliver what he wants (even more so in the current climate) and think he'll be looking for a way out...obviously through being pushed rather than jumping. Always felt it would only end that way from the off. Never felt the right fit for the role and the constraints it comes with.

Bringing in a manager with a more attacking philosophy may help uplift players but I'd expect him to hit the same brick wall under ENIC and ultimately the real issues when it come to success on the pitch lay at their door.

We are devoid of attacking ideas. The players look scared stiff / caught in headlights. It’s so sad.

He’s lost it, the plot, the dressing room. Levy fell for a right one here. Jose flirting with him, showing some leg, Danny fell for it.
I don't think he's lost the dressing room I mean thatll probably happen down the line but I think we have a group of players woefully lacking in confidence..

I refuse to believe that Jose is coaching the players to be taking 5 touches before releasing the ball or making dreadful crosses. That's coming from a group of players who haven't really played well for 18 months and are struggling to find their verve. Obviously some of these players have been propped up by Dembele, Eriksen, Wanyama etc. But Kane, Son, Toby, Alli haven't suddenly become bad players, they are finding it hard.

Will not make a damn difference!
A more progressive, innovative manager would be able to get more out of this attacking group. I have no doubt about that. Our defense is a mess I won't argue that at all but this attacking group is much better than what we're watching.

Lucas Moura scored 15 goals last year including multiple hat tricks... He hasn't scored in 16 games in a row now. Our attacking setup is atrocious.

I think any manager coming in would automatically get us playing better by dropping Sissoko and getting Ndombele and Lo Celso in the same team.

It is not that he is coaching to take 5 touches. He is emphasising shape of the team over attack. Football is all about movement and space when it comes to attacking.

Mourinho like us fans has never played the game at a top level so he is treating football more as an organisational thing. Mourinho has always relied on top quality creative players to do all his creative attacking.

I cannot believe the last two games I watched I almost fell asleep in both. We were incredibly lucky against Bournemouth. They deserved to win the game. I am done with his tenure Mourinho out.

If you got Neil warnock... Or fuck it even Harry, we would be better.

I'm gonna be honest, get me in there... Even telling them to enjoy it and do what you do best and just attack... Would make em better

Well I know all that and have said that previously, which I agree with to an extent. But when you've got players who are running with the ball but not releasing others then you can see that is a problem more than the coach.

I agree that Jose has generally relied on attacking players to create themselves but some of our players shouldn't need coaching on some aspects that they are massively failing at.

Part of it is confidence and man management. Jose is so far past man management which he used to be great at. Mourinho is all about himself he no longer trusts the players. He has had three groups of players turn on him. Mourinho is long past the man who deflected the attention from his teams poor performances and now causes a hostile atmosphere.

My belief is that he has too much baggage to be the manager he once was. I have never liked the way his teams have played, and would not have wanted him in the past, but if he was the winner he once was I would be up for him to be our manager.

I usually defend Levy but he really screwed up this time. with Poch's buyout and JMs salary this is going to cost the club over 60 million and we wont be in Europe next season.

It’s pretty clear to me that the problem is definitely not the manager. Does Jose have a part in it? Ofcourse, he is the manager and has to shoulder some of the blame.

But fuck me, this group of players is finished. Bar Lo Celso, Bergwijn and funnily enough Winks, they all played like utter shit today. And it’s not only today, it’s been almost 2 fucking years of the same sideways passing no movement no attacking cohesion no one twos no off the ball runs no looking for space no showing for the ball bullshit. It’s the end of an era and we need to mop the entire floor here.

It’s both ENIC and the players for various reasons. We could have Klopp, Ancelotti or Nagelsmann and it would still take them a good couple years to get this team in shape again. Mourinho cannot be blamed for us having 5 shots on target in 3 games, no manager on earth could be blamed for that and this lands solely at the players feet. I’d be fuming to play alongside this lot.

Seriously though, doesn't it look like these players have been playing through their skins in the last 4 years under Poch and doing double sessions

That they have nothing left in the tank

I look at the players and they look like guys who have over 100k miles on the clock

I don't agree with this in the slightest. We are so negative, setup with a shit midfield, work everything to get Aurier into space, etc. Mourinho 100% is negatively effecting our ability to attack.

Kane, Son, Bergwijn, Lucas, Lo Celso, Ndombele are all more talented players than they're currently showing.

Reading comments from ManU fans they're all saying this is exactly what it was like towards the end with them.
