One swallow doth not a summer make.

I am concerned about the signing of Ndombele. Undoubtedly skilful but with a dreadful attitude and weight problem, which was known to clubs/coches in France. I question whether or not due diligence was carried out on him before spending a large transfer fee and making him the highest paid player at Spurs, on par with Kane. I realise we need home grown players. I am unsure about Sessegnon but he may come good as he matures. I know little about Clarke's abilities, but it is of concern that he played very few minutes whilst on loan at Leeds and only a few minutes more at QPR.

Re Ndombele your comment is of course a criticism of Poch as it was him that wanted him.

I'm not sure anyone is arguing about his first season where he won the league cup and the Europa cup. Even in his second season although he didn't win anything he improved greatly in the league, so I don't feel anyone would be too unhappy with that either.

Where I have an issue with him is not the players he got rid of but those he spent £370 million on and how despite the level of spending Utd started going backwards. The football was dire, there was unrest in the dressing room and a lot of their fans were pleased to see the back of him.

Things don't need to be so black and white.

Day 4-

Debate has now shifted to whether running a nursery is sufficient qualification for managerial critique and the length of posts has both increased and decreased markedly. Accusations of smugness have found their way into the conversation and even at this early stage i fear the quality of discourse is only going to degrade. Spirits are ok and i remain hopeful that things can still take a positive turn. I have many toilet rolls to keep me sane.
I see you are still stock piling. They'll find you eventually.

Well said which is why I’m very worried about him leading the rebuild this summer.

Yes they are, read the thread.
There are countless posts summarising his time at Utd as a failure.

You should be more worried about if there's gonna be any football at all for the foreseeable. :D

I guess if there isn’t it’s cuz shits got really bad, in which case, none of us should be worrying at all about no football.

Few stories came out over the last week that we maybe tried for Inzaghi before Mourinho. No idea whether it's just agent bollocks in this article but they're playing some great football.

With how quickly we got José done I’d be surprised if he wasn’t number 1 target

To be honest I'm impressed by Ndombele and Mourinho for being prepared to work together. Shows up all the talk of Ndombele "not caring" and "mourinho being negative driving Ndombele away". Also shows Sess' and Sanchez's commitment to the cause, can only improve their relationship with mourinho who has been said to "not rate" either of them. Kudos. **** the media, great to see them working together proactively. Yes different means would be better but I like this

Mourinho's response in the press will be interesting, pressure will be on him to be coy but a lot of me would like him to say "yes we did a 2m distanced training session, it was our one exercise of the day?":sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:
