Hi guys . I hope you don't mind me visiting your site . I stumbled onto it reading about Heysel . I was trying to find out if LFC appealed against their European ban . They received a 3 year ban when the rest of us were let back in . That 3 years became 1 year . I am a Evertonian and we probably suffered due to the ban more than anyone . We missed 2 European cup campaigns and 2 UEFA cups in the 5 yrs . We also lost our manager Howard Kendall and that great side was broken up and we never recovered. At the time we were one of the big 5 . Even the most biased blue has to accept we became a mid table team at best for years . Add to that the ' we knocked Everton out of the European cup without kicking a ball ' jokes from those wonderful Liverpool fans . They stopped after Hillsboro but still our resentment remains . How I hope they don't win the league this year . Anyway back to the reason I'm writing this. During my search for Heysel stories I stumbled upon your site and the hypocrisy of Liverpudlians was being discussed. Hillsboro and Heysel are both disasters that should be remembered. Liverpool have removed Heysel from their history . A 30 year old red on a Blues forum stated ' as I was born in 1990 I don't know much about Heysel . In the articles I read some Spurs fans pointed to this hypocrisy blaming ' bloody Scousers' . Most of these Liverpudlians don't come from Liverpool. Evertonian's are a different species to that shower as far as I'm concerned. Anyway guys stay safe and good luck oh and what were you thinking sacking Poch ?

This reminds me of the first letter I wrote the the Stranglers fan club. I was only 12 and could barely afford the stamp so I wrote like 56 questions in the letter. They were too cool to reply to my letter. That was 12p I'll never get see again.

On a side note, my wife is a scouser and she told me she was pausing for a minute for Hillsborough. she asked me if I'd join in. I asked her if she was doing the same for Heysel and she didn't know what I was talking about. When I explained, she said, yea but the Police were to blame for Hillsborough and they covered it up. I pointed out that the Liverpool fans were responsible for Heysel but they seem to forget about that fact.

Anyway, hey la,. Where about are you from? Love the city, hate the Reds.

Err... yes?

You were robbed. Know the feeling. Arsenal killed our parrot. Not Troy, he’s the second coming. Liverpool fans are extremely selective. Because it ‘means more’. Self centred fucks.

We didn’t sack Poch, Levy did, although the call was back by a lot of Spurs fans in favour of the shiny Mourinho who brings the shiny trophies. He can kiss my shiny ass.

Poch was sacked because we were playing awful and he’d lost the dressing room, relegation form in the league for best part of a year.
Many of our fans are still in denial about this.

Everton Two, Liverpool One.
Fucking brilliant.
Yeah always brings a smile . That penalty in the CLF was derby day stuff . We've been on the wrong end of those decisions for years

Don't want to get involved in a argument but if he lost the dressing room there must be some bad apples in your squad . Wouldn't have thought Jose was the man to win it back with his track record . Sad to see Spurs starting to drop off . I've liked you . since Ossie and Villa . Ossie's son is an Evertonian so he must be a nice fella . Goodluck and stay safe .

Same could be said about every squad mate, I think that’s just the nature of modern footballers and egos.
The drop off was stark, but it started a long time before Jose was on the scene.

Far too early to judge Jose imo, we’ll see where we are in a year, patience is like rocking horse shit amongst many fans, especially on here, so there’ll be many tears until then.

fucking hate Liverpool. (the fans, not the city)

Our PL results from around 23rd of Feb 2019 until he was sacked was something like won 6, drawn 7 and lost 11. Yes he got us to the CL final and finished 4th to qualify for the CL, but it was more a limp into 4th than it should have been! We were no where near as good as we should have been for that period and it cost him his job in the end.

Just as well a season isn't just 3 months long then.

It is, but a run of poor league form for 6/7 months, which is from November 2018 to May 2019 and then August 2019 to November 2019 is a little longer than just a 3 month dip in form.

Apologies, I deleted my post, because it was heat of the moment, and I regretted getting into this discussion again. I want to let it lie really.

You hadn't posted at the time and I thought it would be ok. Apologies again.

Suffice to say that I think there were a complicated array of things that led to his sacking, starting all the way back in 2017 with that book.

Poch was sacked because he was not allowed to do his job properly and the decision to hinder him was starting to cast a bad light on those who took it.

There were a load of Evertonians on the tube in the way back from the game last season (2-2, the day City pipped Liverpool), and they were really pleasant and a great laugh.

Don't get me wrong, your persistent Goodison booing of any decision which goes against you on match day is annoying as fuck, but as a whole Everton fans are a reasonably tolerable bunch.

From when he was sacked we averaged around a point a game in the league for the previous year.
It was relegation form, this isn't opinion, this isn't ott...those are facts.

Ahh this is like the good old times, I haven't thought about the horrific killer virus for about 10 minutes now.

We do that as well, like... As do almost every set of football fans in existence.
