1. Go through the academy lads with their coaches - work out who has a chance of training with the first team and who is looking good fro progression - at this stage think about which of those may be worthy of League cup or UCL experience in the first half to he season.
2. Other younger lads that are in that sort of purgatory sort of state that are ready for first team football but perhaps not at Spurs - work out what they need and what level they need it - work out good loans for them ASAP
3. Assess the contract situations - who is within 24 months of expiration and who is it that I or the club want to keep - test the water for potential extensions or for example in the case of Hugo - work out if he does want to stay beyond next summer and if not what does he want to do ?
4. First team squad appraisal
5. Sales - find out the first team squad members who may want to move ( not Harry or Charlie Kane - I'm not taking their calls until after the window shuts). Try to find the best solution for them ASAP
6. The biggest areas of weakness - identify them and get Stevie H in the office with Nuno and work out what we need - that is the focus - I firmly believe the squad overhaul required cannot be achieved in one window and we should focus in the biggest requirements NOW. In our case the defence and I think full focus should be on that initially - signing likely 2-3 defenders before we have pre-seaosn games would be lovely.
7. Young exciting talent - scout for the players in foreign / lower leagues that we may be able to entice now who may be 1-2 years away from first team level and keep that "signing young players early' mantra we had a while ago alive
8. Order a coffee
9. Go and lie in my training ground pod with the best pillows in the world - maybe get room service
