Thought it would be a while before I ventured back into this thread but having had 24 hours of media going on about how special it is they won, best fans, best team ever etc etc we now have the fans celebrations!
1. MassI’ve crowd in the pier head area of city.
2. An alleged stabbing.
3. Have set fire to the Liver building.
4. The mayor of Liverpool, Liverpool council and Mersey police are all pleading with fans to disperse.

Sounds like it’s absolute carnage

Fair play to them. I would hope for carnage down the high road ending with a march to the emirates to set it alight.

Remember when they got the hump when it was mooted that they’d have to play games at neutral venues due to the possibility of fans congregating in numbers?

All we heard then was “how dare you suggest such a thing?”.

Yes. How dare we indeed.....

You know it Rigs...!!

I'm just hoping, Im not on a zimmerframe when (if) it happens.

I'm 45 btw.

My old manager (Liverpool fan) lived and worked in Tottenham/Wood Green years ago. Told me when Arsenal won the league, some of their fans drove down the high road giving out abuse. They then had to stop at a red light.....:hungover:

So would I but I’m not going to let that stop me wagging my finger at them in a hypocritical faux outrage

Mate if they’re not gonna sack him for spitting at a child, I doubt they will over this.

Bill Bryson being quoted. "I arrived in Liverpool... they were having a festival of litter."

Also in the context of the pandemic, are the Liverpool fans behaving any worse than the mindless idiots who have flocked to the beaches this past week?

Alleged stabbing aside, the answer is no. They're all as bad as each other.
It's the breathtaking hypocrisy of the wider Liverpool establishment (not just the club) and the speed with which they rushed to claim victim status that continues to wind me up. It's only 3 weeks ago that the Liverpool Echo was portraying the club's supporters as innocent victims of "the government's decision" to let the visiting supporters into Anfield, and Liverpool University is still working to identify links between the match and a 41 additional deaths in the area. Do you think the University will be as assiduous in looking for links into a possible surge in Covid cases in Liverpool in July following this week's celebrations?

(I agree about the mindless idiots on the beach, by the way, but at least they don't spend 365 days a year claiming everything is someone else's fault!)

They should be docked 40 points this season for their fans endangering the welfare of human lives to be honest.

By the way, if the PL allows the next fixture at Anfield to go on as planned, the aftermath will be on them. You really expect this lot to play by the rules and stay away?
