Klopp has a dislike of Neville going back to when Neville tore into I think Mignolet, and Klopp questioned the worth of an opinion from someone who had so spectacularly failed in his one attempt at management.

I very much agreed with Klopp on that one (even though I find him easy to dislike). While I accept that messing up as a manager isn't necessarily indicative of lesser footballing wisdom, there's failing and then there's Gary Neville at Valencia failing. At least the likes of Sounness, Hoddle and Gullit have achieved to an extent as managers.

To be fair to Neville, it was a daft job to take.

Might be different kettle of fish if he had a crack at a job over here but he seems to have decided he prefers being a pundit for sky sports, which is fair enough as we need good pundits as well as managers and he’s not too bad.

Reminds me of a Martin Amis quote to the effect of “men basically look the same from their 20’s through to late 50’s and then all of a sudden it all goes to pot”.

Poor Lawro.

It’s cracking me up all over again.

I hope he’s not Ill actually:cautious:

Thought it would be a while before I ventured back into this thread but having had 24 hours of media going on about how special it is they won, best fans, best team ever etc etc we now have the fans celebrations!
1. MassI’ve crowd in the pier head area of city.
2. An alleged stabbing.
3. Have set fire to the Liver building.
4. The mayor of Liverpool, Liverpool council and Mersey police are all pleading with fans to disperse.

Sounds like it’s absolute carnage

Going to stay well away from social media for the next few weeks. I’ve muted most football pages on FB. All it’s going to be is Liverpool this and Liverpool that. It’s sickening how much media love they get when they don’t win anything. I can’t imagine how repulsive it’s going to be now they have won.

Yep. I stayed off yesterday and sports tv and media. I’ve had Liverpool and all words associated with them muted on social media for 2 years. I recommended it back then, it makes it a much more relaxing and enjoyable place.

I made the mistake of going into Wexford Town yesterday to get my wife's iPhone fixed
.
The place was full of plastics with those tops on display everywhere. I have probably been to Anfield more times than the lot of them put together.

Bit of a damp squib ain't it? I mean, just turn the telly off and it's as if nothing has happen. Well, apart from a very few posts on twatbook. But then I've only 2 or 3 Liverpool supporting friends on there.
I think it'll be always known as the title that didn't really matter*.

*although I wouldn't be thinking that if we'd have won it, obvs.

In the context of the current pandemic, it's interesting to compare and contrast the faux outrage of the Liverpool fans over the "reckless" decision to admit a relatively small contingent of Atletico Madrid supporters to their recent CL match, and the benign tolerance of all the current "exuberance" of the Liverpool fans. (Similarly, am I right in thinking that there were absolutely no arrests following the trashing of Man City's coach a couple of seasons ago?)

Also in the context of the pandemic, are the Liverpool fans behaving any worse than the mindless idiots who have flocked to the beaches this past week?

Alleged stabbing aside, the answer is no. They're all as bad as each other.

Why the fuck are we laughing at Liverpool?
Liverpool fans maybe but theu're only slightly worse than many other fans.

Sincere congratulations to Liverpool on a fine season and a title after 30 years.
very well deserved.
Now let's concentrate on West Ham. whose future looks mainly behind them.
