I see the lovable wall pushers have gone to Austria for a pre season training camp which just happens to be on the UK quarantine list. I wonder what will happen here? Surely it’s their own fault for going away when they have a multi million pound training base at home. If Kane and half of our squad need to quarantine then why wouldn’t they?

Is Scouseland part of the UK? They make their own rules.

Scouse, not English.

Ban the fuckers from the English Premier League.

This prick is one of the worst for bringing Liverpool into every conversation. He writes for a paper over here in Ireland and he doesn't even try to hide his bias.

he really is a monumental twat that gets in Twitter rows with rival fans, tweets illiterate nonsense and generally makes a fool of himself. How these ex players still get jobs baffles me.

anyway, as you seem to have a dislike for dear old Aldo I thought I’d point you in the direction of this thread on an Everton forum. It’s basically ripping the piss out of him mercilessly. Some of the time I have no idea what the joke is although I’ve since learned he got done for trying to attack pigeons outside his house so most of the pigeon references now make sense.

anyway, enjoy

Laat year, back in August, Klopp made the Liverpool players watch Manchester City lift the Community Shield. He said he did this so that the players can feel the pain and frustration, by watching their competitors lift trophies. This year he also did the same and forced all liverpool players to watch the presentation where arsenal players lifted community shield trophy.

Liverpool just simply haven’t looked the same ever since the restart.

Think they may have another very light transfer market yet again and I wouldn’t be surprised if things start going fairly stale there.

With a couple of injuries they could hopefully be in for a disappointing season but I think they’ll still challenge for the title. Next summer though they could well need lots of big changes if they don’t make a couple this window. There’s too much noise over Thiago for example and if they get him it really will be a good signing that will keep them up there although it could take him a while to get up to speed with the intensity and level of the league

Agree I think Thiago is a fantastic player and I do think he'll end up going there. That said Thiago's influence will be minimized somewhat by the fact he seems to be perpetually injured.

I wasn’t aware of his injuries. There’s lots but looking at this, apart from one season, he didn’t miss that many games. Plus Liverpool have a lot of midfielders. It is a tougher league but he won’t have to play as much.

22 out of 35 players are asthmatic  Wonder what substance is legally used to treat asthma?
I'm not sure how accurate lost of that is and I don't know if that's the reason Klopp's long term assistant left but it's very interesting.

I do, however, think that they'll drop off massively this season. The signs were there as early as February.

The fact is the PL is too demanding to remain at that level - with the same group of players - for so long. Also, other clubs have improved, which means they HAVE to be better than last year and that hasn't happened yet.

I personally hope they have a Dortmund level drop off because it would be funny to see the greatest team ever sitting in the relegation places even if it's temporary

yeah I’m also weary of a lot of the stuff in the article but the Leicester stuff is very interesting including the dig at the British media for buying in to the port and red bull Jamie Vardy story.

Lol at the idea of Aldridge going Mano to Mano with a gaggle of pigeons.

The term is called 'Athlete asthma'. A quite common condition after hours of high intensity workouts throughout the years. The substance to treat it is simply asthma medicine. The medicine is not on any doping list

It's going to be interesting to see how they fare this season. Our own experience suggests they're playing a dangerous game with the recent lack of signings and I wonder if they will go through the same as we did. If they don't, it'll be fun to speculate as to why they got away with it and we didn't.
