Unfortunately this is the difference between a slightly dodgy, art hoarding, off-shoring, yacht residing exile owner (worth a mere $5bn) and a really dodgy art hoarding, off-shoring, yacht residing exile owner (worth $11bn).

His name should never have been made public until the investigation was over if you ask me.

Completely agree. Its ridiculous that people can get dragged through the mud publicly and judged by the twittersphere without anyone taking a second to think or evaluate the evidence. I think I might've said it earlier in this thread actually, but I think there's should be a blanket ban on naming anyone accused of a crime in the press/on the internet until they've actually been convicted of something. Nowadays social media makes this measure necessary IMO

A blanket ban is unenforceable because some people will always be wanted by the police and their names will sometimes have to go public if the police are desperate for tips (Raoul Moat being a classic example).

But, as a general principle, I totally agree.

You're probably right. My revised suggestion would be a blanket ban unless there is explicit permission by the police because they've got a concrete reason why it needs to be public knowledge e.g. the Moat situation where people's lives where in danger.

There's absolutely no benefit to the public to people knowing about most alleged crimes though.

Yep, that I can totally agree with.

Chelsea is gonna be dangerous if they keep signing players.. got the guy from ajax.. timo from rb. also rumors they want harvartz and chillwall could be a serious contender or atleast push Liverpool and man city next season abit if they land all 4 of them or even 3.

Havertz would be in the region of 100mil; he will go to Madrid or Barca. He can skip that step at Chelsea, Juve, Bayern etc.

The world falling into chelsea's lap as usual

Even getting a transfer ban worked out perfectly for them. With the quality young players they've got coming through their squad is extremely strong and deep, and they've replaced Eden Hazard without making an enormous song and dance about it.

Does this make Chelsea the anti-Tottenham or are we the anti-Chelsea?

The transfer ban we hoped would break them meant they could promote five youth teamers who have proved they were clearly ready and pocket the money they got for Hazard so they actually have cash reserved for transfers when all other clubs are stuffed by a global pandemic.

The former is thanks to a good youth system, but the latter ... that's stars aligned kind of luck.
