It certainly looks like Atletico are emerging as title favourites this season, the big two look a complete mess at the moment. When was the last time a team that wasn't Real or Barca were favourites?

Yeah I think it's pretty safe to say that Barca aren't getting anywhere near the CL this season, no direction, no plan - just full of big names now and they're going to sign Neymar as well, just a recipe for disaster - coach is crap too.

We should thank our lucky stars that Poch managed Espayol because he'd go there and sort them out.
The more I watch of Barca, Real, Bayern, Juve etc. the more I feel an English team will win the CL again. It seems like a real "transitional" period in European football.

Yeah it's funny how we almost all predict the same teams to win their domestic league (Bayern, Juve, PSG) but none look as strong as Man City or dare I say Liverpool or us as well. The money in the PL is really starting to create a chasm.

With likes of Wolves improving every season we are going to see a very strong EPL presents in Europe.
Money talks and the Beryern’s and Juve’s of this world are on the decline and Real are in free fall!

We have the 3 best coaches in world football to put it simply.

Modric red carded
did you see the incident? on first watch it is harsh. He's just out by a second, going for the ball as the player skips away.. but..

http://www.rfef.es/noticias/periodistas-y-rfef-se-unen-nueva-jornada-formacion-arbitral
-Las faltas por detrás (al tendón de Aquiles) serán castigadas con tarjeta roja y, en el caso de que árbitro tenga que parar el partido, el balón se reanudará con el equipo que estaba en posesión del mismo.
-Fouls from behind (to the Achilles tendon) will be punished with a red card and, in the event that the referee has to stop the game, the ball will resume with the team that was in possession of it.

so he's hit the achilles, and therefore it's a red.

That would probably just be a yellow in the PL.

harsh on modric. should be a yellow.

Madrid winning with bale in the starting lineup. Barca dropping 3 points with a goal conceded late on.

gonna be an interesting season in spain

Good cross from Trippier for Morata to score. Great start to his career at Atletico Madrid.

Trippier was such a scapegoat last year.

If Diego Simeone wants you in your defence, you're a pretty good player.

I hope he does well there, the style of play will suit him.

Being in a simone defence will help him too.
