Is there Any ITK who can verify this because it seems to have come rather out of the blue!!
The itks will all claim to have heard about this when it's just about to be finalised like so many other transfers in the past.

I believe these are the type of deals we should get used to, unknown younger players with potential to become very good.

I don't know enough about this player too say wherther Spurs should buy him for not but I for sure would not base my judgement on youtube clips.
What is really hard to predict is a player's progession and how he handles pressured etc. Some players are excellent in familiar settings, and looks better due to weaker opponents but fail to make the step while others (Modric is an excellent example) thrives and just get better and better and know how to use the "synergy" of playing with better players.
I reckon that if Spurs did buy Linetty they should send him to a season long loan to a team Bosnia (where Modric spent a season to toughen up) ;)
I remember fans were raving seeing this clip about a certain Polish player named... Rasiak:

I think we all agree that you can't judge a player on a you tube clip alone. However , what you can see is that he can pass accurately with either foot, is strong on the ball, like Modric, and has good vision. At the price quoted he is worth a punt. If he makes the grade we have a real winner, if not we would probably get our money back anyway when we sell. It's a no brainer for me.

Very impressed with that youtube video, Looks exactly what we need in midfield, good range of passing, tenacious and creative. What is the standard like in Poland though? Didnt look amazing in that video tbh That video is how we want Mason to play.

But we're also absolutely stacked with talent at cm in our youth system and they will never get a chance if we if we keep stockpiling like this, however he looks talented and at a great price so i understand taking the risk. These are the signings we used to make in the Jol days, its a bit more exciting chasing an unknown that ive never see.

For months and months on this website people have been claiming we should be signing highly experienced players who can improve the first XI (preferably with major EPL experience). James Milner was the single most praised player on any of these transfer speculation threads (though once he signed for Liverpool, the adulation quickly subsided). With Wimmer signed and Trippier and Linetty the two players most closely linked to us, it's not looking like we are targeting players that will start next season for us. In fact, these three are even less accomplished than Stambouli, Fazio, and Chiriches were. At least those three had lots of experience at the international and European level, while winning trophies, before coming to Spurs. While these mooted three are relatively young players who could improve, they also play in positions where we are well stocked in the Academy. If we do sign Linetty, then it's clear to me the club simply aren't going to spend the money necessary to bring in a player likely to start come August. I'd rather we just not signed Trippier, Linetty, or Wimmer and just spent the money on Yohan Cabaye (rumored to be going to Crystal Palace for 10-15 million pounds), with youth filling the gaps in the other positions. But that's not how we operate, apparently.

I really do think that we have other funds put aside to buy more experienced players to slot in the first team, more so if we can sell
Off as many of the players that are not in Poch's future plans.

This does not mean that we shouldn't buy young players, with potential, if the prices are reasonable. If available and if the player wants to come to us, I'd rather we buy now when they are cheap than wait a couple of years when the price rockets (if they do well).

Let's say that we get five young players with potential and at low prices and if just one of them becomes a 'star' in the next couple of years, we would may be able to recover all that money on that player alone. If anyone doesn't improve, we can sell them off with minimal losses.

We don't have the finances of Chelsea & Man City or the big names of the likes of Man Utd to attract top players so we have to make do with a few experienced players to add to the first team together with younger players from the youth ranks or from other clubs, until we have the means to compete with the bigger clubs on a more equal footing. This won't happen until, at least, our new stadium is ready.

Who is Lyall?
Sky Sports journalist. Arrogant prick, but has been right a fair bit of the time. He was embarrassed in January though because he said Besiktas didn't want Kaboul but later that day their manager said they wanted him.

Oh him.

FWIW I spoke to a freelance scout this morning who has watched him play a few games. Said he is like a dynamic Michael Carrick and has really stood out this season. Also said the Polish league is a looooong way behind the Prem so adjusting could be an issue.

Lewandowski did alright coming straight out of the Polish league. Sometimes its about the pace of the league rather than the quality (e.g. Modric coming straight from Croatia)

This sounds like an excellent option to replace Stambouli, and complete our double pivot quartet with Bentaleb, Mason and Alli.

Cream always rises to the top:
The club would have looked at him hard!
Apparently the Polish league is very physical so he should at least be equipped to ride the bumps in EPL!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

He lived in same town as me many years, certainly not a arrogant prick, but suppose we all judge with lack of info

I'm sure that's not what he really is like, but that's the way he comes across on Twitter. Always talking about how his info his perfectly accurate and superior to everyone else's.

Perfect signing. Exactly what we need. Very impressive that the scouts are so on top of their game. I literally didn't expect it.
Now, let me head over to wikipedia to find out where he plays on the pitch. :hilarious:

Well, if you do head over to Wikipedia, you'll find that he plays for ....................Tottenham Hotspur.
I wonder which SCer did that?

They are very confident on Vidal.

Shame about this lad but you do have to wonder just how many young CM's we can really accommodate at one time.

The Refs in the PL will have a fun time giving Vidal red and yellow cards. He will need to control himself far more than he seems capable of and if he could that would impact severely on his game.
