Alasdair Gold saying we're close on a striker with the name yet to be revealed due to talks being in a "delicate stage". Forgive me for thinking it's not Josh King he's talking about, as surely talks with Bournemouth would be relatively straight forward.

Fully agree. I suspect also that, if Ally is reporting it, it's damn near completion too. He's as close to the club as they come, club probably leaking it to him to calm some of the fans down on social media.

Think he's just implying that if it were Josh King, he wouldn't be averse to naming them as the name's already out there in the mainstream.

It could very well be King, and I feel we could do a lot worse than King, it just doesn't sound like it is to me.

Good info from Trix but pretty Sure Josh King wants to go to Utd so the question would be are Utd interested in him?
If not then hopefully we just stump up the cash to get him asap if our other higher on the list targets are no longer attainable.

Milik or Vinicius or Worthorst all great options but Josh King would still be a superb signing, he knows the league and he can play up front or on the wing so will get lots of game time.

We’ve had 9 months to get a striker in for Mourinho, so if we aren’t close to one now then we have to question what the fuck the club are doing.
