They'll be fucked if they get knocked out of the CL next week, that will make it harder to sign top players, assuming Wenger has any intention of spending any money - which is open to a lot of doubt anyway.

Great to see them lose to a very unconvincing Liverpool side. I'll still not laugh until were out of the blocks and looking better than them. We have a couple of tough games coming up...

Would have prefered a draw, don't want liverpool on a high. I just wish we had been playing the scum today.

At once when Wenger are building a team with British players, it goes wrong....

Previously he has succeeded with french/african players. He might have a hard season this year, despite signing bargain of the season, Gervinho.

Not just Arsenal Spursking, most of the Premiership squads are being reviewed and adjusted accordingly to show a home grown quota in the Premiership squad of 25.
If a team sells a Brit, it will invariably have to bring in a Brit replacement.

Yes, I forgot about that.
It is going in the wrong direction.....
It is all about quality - it will not be a better quality with that rule.

That depends on the skill of the Manager in sourcing top talent in this country, bringinf on youth with the home grown rule which will only encourage more starts and appearances for kids who have come through the ranks, and finally, prevent foreign journeymen taking up squad slots where equal talent lies within these shores but is priced so expensively, does not get the chance to establish itself.

It's only there so English players are brought through if teams keep bringing in players from aboard the English players are not going to get a look in.

I know he's only played 2 games, but Gervinho hasn't looked that good from what I've seen. He's good at running with the ball but so far has shown no end product whatsoever. He got into lots of good positions against Newcastle and failed with his shot or cross every single time and he looked no better against Udinese.

I agree, great dribbler but he is just running in to brick walls but he will do better against the top teams imo as he would have more space and time to think
