Levy did the right thing for once. Damage done though. Now the club might want to work on upgrading the websites server.

But the main point is all those 550 non playing staff will get full pay. Levy will just need to make them feel wanted again ehen tbey resume

See above posts - Levy just done a U turn!!
Yes, but he's still furloughing staff which I think people had issues with due to using tax payers money.

For me, topping up the staff eliminates any issue I have with it.

Oh and I couldn't give a shit about PR. This is about real people's jobs and salary. It's great for them, will be even better if we can avoid redundancies in the medium term

so levy finally listened to reason - good
the fans who pushed the club
to do the right thing should feel proud that their efforts made a difference

Its the right decision even if it is later than most of us hoped.
Couldn't stand us being compared to Newcastle and shows how bad a decision it was when only Ashley was doing it.

Completely acknowledge that staff could be furloughed in the future depending on how things work out but the decision to do it this early was completely misjudged.

Also guessing that this will also help in negotiations with players as to what will happen with their wages. Wonder if we will try the snal offer of 15% reduction with all of it back if we make CL or half back if make EL. Going to be interesting to see how it plays out.

Official site apparently saying that they have reconsidered their position and all staff will be paid 100% for April and May.
Only the board will take a 20% pay cut

Well that’s going to piss off a lot of people.

Let’s see if it’s followed up by news of players taking a wage cut.

The fact the stadium is now virtually a hospital goes a long way to make up for initial decision. But also indicates just how unlikely any sort of football being played there is in next few months.

Just been on the official site and aside from the PR mess of the furlough scheme the club are doing a lot of good things. They've basically turned part of the stadium into an antenatal clinic to relive pressure on the local hospital and avoid the need for pregnant women to attend the hospital lessening their risk.
