lol talksport talking about neville being in "demand" as a manager now...
Valencia are screaming out for him to return...not. Neville has already said hes managing the women in the olympic games, so its a non-story being whipped up by people that call themselves "experts".

To be fair, by all accounts he was quite well-liked at Valencia when it was just him as the assistant to Nuno. It seemed like he was avoiding all the pitfalls English people usually fall into when they go abroad i.e. he was settling down, attempting to learn the language etc. and supposedly doing a decent job. I think he was there a good 6 months or so before Gary walked in and stank up the place. After Gary came in and then got sacked I suppose he was tarred with the same brush but that was perhaps a bit unfair.

What do you lot think about some of the hugs and kisses from Phil Neville towards his players? I'm a bit surprised that someone would do that in this day and age.

One of those things that if I were in that position I'd just avoid but that's more because of how silly people get and how much social media likes to try and turn anything and everything into a controversy it seems. So I suppose in the current climate, I don't think he should do it, but at the same time I think it's daft that that's the way it is half the time.

This tea celebration lark when scoring against England from Morgan has it been discussed?

She says the mens game they all go crazy celebrating and the women "can't" which is why she did it. Clearly it was taking the micky and should be seen as incredibly disrespectful whatever gender or sport it is.

You disrespected a country, any man doing that would've got absolutely slated, so you should be glad you aren't in the men's game... You're also completely devaluing the woman's game by a making a mistake and playing the gender card.

Should put her hands up admit she's in the wrong and apologise, disgraceful.

Yeah I just saw this on sky sports.

Becoming too easy to just say sexism etc blah blah.

It was plain disrespectful to England as Americans always make out all we do is drink tea, she knew what she was doing.

And if a male footballer did same thing he’d get stick, she’s chatting plain bollocks really.

She is fit though.

I admit the gender card is off base and a bit tired. However, I think she should own the celebration and not apologize. Nothing vile or inappropriate, just funny banter as far as I’m concerned. She and Rapinoe were called out in the British press for celebrations prior to this match so this was her middle finger to them. Just own it and move on.

What has happened to the world that makes people work themselves up over someone pretending to drink tea?

It was a completely harmless piss-take, not the fucking Quenelle that did the rounds a few years ago.

The gesture may have looked like someone having a cuppa.

It also looked like someone having a toke on a blunt.

I had absolutely no problem with it and found it funny but the accusations of sexism is such complete and utter BS. As if the men's game is free from the press making a storm in a teacup.

I guarantee more would be made of a tweet like the below in the men's game:

If in doubt don't mix politics and sport. It's got nothing to do with double standards. You rarely see it in the men's game for a reason.

Celebration was stupid but no big deal but as others have said her reaction to the criticism is laughable. Ronaldo and Simeone were both charged for their celebrations so if she believes their is some kind of double standard I fully expect her to plead to be charged and fined too for doing what can be seen as politically charged actions against the nation of her opponents (it's not but it's easy to make the leap considering Shaqiri has been charged for doing double eagle celebrations that are seen as political too).

She does make herself look incredibly dumb just lazily crying sexism and it makes me respect her less to be honest.

Not that the sexy vixen cares mind.

And I don’t remember footballers grabbing their crotches??

And if she wants to grab her boobies I have NO PROBLEM with this! (y)
