Fans without tickets meeting up in Madrid

Hi all - unless anything changes I’ll be in Madrid without a ticket. What are people planning for the Saturday who are in the same boat?

In the travel link there is reference to a group on facebook mate. Also beerstation can be booked for free. I have done the latter but the former sounds fun if can get there on time.

Beerstation seems to be coming through as 'Cancelled' when I try and book that!

My understanding is that Spurs fans have been allocated the "Plaza de Colon" which is apparently Columbus square.

Hey guys there’s a few of us in the same boat, wanna watch it with spurs fans but no mickeys!

If there’s no designated pubs we are thinking of finding a place Cannilejas which nearish to the ground. Plenty of bars there and I have a Spanish friend with me who can help with a local joint.

Plan would be to meet in plaza colon in the day and go from there. If any are interested we can set up a WhatsApp group via DM and go from there?

General advice if you are scared of not finding a place,, watch it outside the city centre. Madrid has so many bars, an extraordinary amount of them. I don't live in the city centre or a 'night out area' but I have at least 15-20 bars five minutes from my house.

I'd advise. Go to places like Chamberi, Manuel Becerra, Pueblo Nuevo, Puerta de Angel, the river in general etc. and you will almost certainly have a place. Assess your options, give yourself time and you'll all be fine.

Thanks for this - yeah definitely agree. Nervous about finding somewhere good with Spurs for the biggest game ever!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve my fellow lilly whites!

I'll be travelling to Madrid from Barcelona Saturday morning, CANNOT WAIT! Don't have a ticket and am planning on watching somewhere with as many spurs fans as possible. There are a couple of big Irish bars that will have both us and the scousers, but I am sure that all the bars close to the fan zone will be mainly spurs....and every bar will have the game on so am hoping for a great atmosphere in the streets nearby too.

I'm flying into Lisbon tomorrow morning before getting an overnight bus to Madrid and arriving about 7AM. Don't have a ticket and going on my own so think my plan is to head to Plaza Colon until early afternoon before heading into a bar to watch it. If anyone's setting up a WhatsApp group or planning to meet in Madrid send me a PM because I will definitely be up for that.
