Wow, so finally Levy gets the chop?

Interesting developments from Dragon

That said, Coronavirus will shake things up further and who knows what the state of play wills be when the dust settles

Definitely a time to be glad we are a sensibly run club. A lot of clubs and big clubs are gonna be in big trouble over this. Clubs will have taken budgets and wages to the brink.

I’m surprised the enic haters haven’t blamed him for that too!

If Levy is going to get the chop, then it needs to happen ASAP, there's not point waddling around. Unless this is yet another ruse to get fans to buy season tickets. It's not like he's going to magically fix all the mistakes he has made for the past few seasons. He hasn't even shown any remorse going by the THST meeting minutes.

I appreciate the info from dragon1, but I'm not buying the Levy rumor until I see it happen.

1) most spurs fans are fair -2-3 trophies a decade which was pretty par from 51-91 plus good football and we are happy the last 30 years under sugar and epic been way below that

2) if I gave you a list of players that wanted to join and levy messed up the deals you would sob,
1) I think that's true, but I also think football's changed since the 90s and that many seasons in a row in CL is as important, and many fans have been content with that over the past seasons. I also think winning a trophy now is so different to back then (arab/russian crooks having their way)
2) Very, very much think this is absolutely true.

Love this to be true.. but lot of it did sound like personal opinion.
He's insisted he will be moved aside

This is not ITK. After a couple of discussions with some friends in various places I have come to the conclusion that based on Tavistock's history Levy's position is unassailable. He has repeatedly delivered stellar financial results and that is all that Tavistock is concerned about. Furthermore, Levy has alluded to Tavistock's and his own philosophy of stewardship. These match up because it is a consistent theme throughout the organization
Levy's project is multi generational and is not subject to knee jerk whims, even less so now because the stadium has secured multiple revenue streams to support the operation. A multi generational approach is something a lot of people have a really tough time understanding. The minutes of the THST meeting reflect this thinking.
The ONLY things that could dislodge Levy are multiple and egregious financial decisions. He hasn't made any. Even the Pochettino out and Jose in expenses don't reach that level.
At the same time I believe Levy does want to win. On his terms. But his belief, as we pretty much all know, is that as revenues build so will the quality of players we acquire. Whether we agree with that or not is irrelevant. It is a fact of life as a Spurs supporter.

There is no way he gets fired but every way he gets moved aside from all footballing matters as I have said we are about to embark on one of the largest regenerations of any area in London in decades , he could well be placed in charge of this with a new fancy title

I remember when Poch said players wanted to join us.

We'll never know

If he is indeed placed in charge of this, or even given some involvement, he shouldn't be anywhere near the footballing side. He certainly became sidetracked with the stadium and took his eye off it then. No repeats

It did.

However the critism is fair and just.

Baffles me how much he's defended.

Baffles me how much he is criticized too.

In terms of business and building the clubs infrastructure to the point it's at now is incredible.

In terms of on field business, its debatable but he has still left us in a much better position than we were 10 years ago.

That 18 month period where we didn't sign any players is probably the biggest blip on his radar and he will have to take some time to fix that fuck up but otherwise he has done an excellent job of elevating the club in all aspects.

Tbh dragon lost me after the first sentence. Saying the club was for sale during the build and then not as soon as stadium was on show to the workd makes no sense at all. If anything the logic is the opposite. It all sounds like opinion and supposition from someone that doesn’t like Mourinho. And to make out the property developments are something mega in terms of London development is just nonsense. The two sites on high road west are decent developments but nothing earth shattering and neither is the south podium if that ever comes to fruition. If Lewis cared as much as Dragon is making out he’d have put his hand in his own pocket at some point in the last decade and he hasn’t.
