Interesting article here from ES. Didn't Dan accurately state all of our transfer targets last summer as well? Could be 2 from Bournemouth if he's right again this year.

This might indicate a switch of targets, Eze to Brooks now they've been relegated.

Also looked back and there's a previous thread from (I think) may 2019 saying we were planning a 80 mill double swoop for Brooks and Wilson under Poch

Think we'd be looking at half that for the pair now.

Likely to be a bit of interest in brooks so can't see him going cheap.

The guy's like the English/Welsh Bernardo Silva. If we're in for him I'd say Lamela's off - Brooks has operated mainly off the RW.

I can't see the hype surrounding Brooks.. I mean he is good but not great ... He is slow and not much ability to get away from opposition defender in tight situations .. I think Grealish and Eze both have far more in their lockers than Brooks ...

If we could get this kid and have him competing with Bergwijn, Son and Lucas for the wide positions it’d be very exciting, he seems perfect for the type of football Jose wants to play. Only worry is that, with Lamela here too, we’d be spending on a position where we already have depth and quality, leaving less for priority areas.

I’m not sure Lamela is particularly shiftable.

As for Brooks, I think he’s class and if he’d not got injured Bournemouth wouldn’t be relegated. Quick decision maker with bags of technique. Whoever gets him will have signed a very good player. I hope it’s us.

Actually think Brooks is better centrally, just couldn't see us playing him their with Dele and Lo Celso already here.

I hope I am wrong as I also think Lo Celso is better in a deeper role.

Thought he looked very good in the 2018/19 season. Good on the ball with an eye for a pass and 7 goals in 30 in the league is a good return.

He only played 7 games this season, according to Wiki, and my guess is Bournemouth wouldn't have got relegated if he had played even 15 games.

We definitely need players who play with their heads up with an eye for a pass in the final 3rd.

We will need to sell a player or two to accommodate him though.

Yes please. Don't how what his ankle situation is, but he looked very good last year.
