So the Daily Mail today predicted the top 7 at the end of the season! Interesting that this weekend was the first time in PL history that all of the top 7 won! Makes me even more angry at our win lol.

So here is what they think anyway, (won't bother making the longest post ever so check the quote for some interesting predictions)

Sportsmail investigates by taking the top seven clubs and predicting their results during the final 17 rounds of the season.

1st Man City..........87pts
2nd Chelsea.........85pts
3rd Liverpool........82pts
4th Arsenal...........81pts
5th Spurs..............70pts
6th Man Utd..........68pts
7th Everton...........66pts

Now I wouldn't be surprised by finishing 5th but finishing 12 points behind liverpool, I cant see us dropping that many points in relation to them and shocked people think they are so good. They might have a great striker partnership but that back four looks very suspect.

I think if we win every game for the rest of the season we will win the league.
Only way to approach it.

There are so, so, so many variables, you know? Who would have picked us to beat United after that drubbing at the Lane against Liverpool? What if JV and Sandro come back and we become unstoppable? What if Lamela and Soldado find some form and we go on a run?

Conversely, what if Ade turns into useless shite again and we drop lots of points? What if we lose a key player like Hugo or Walker?

So much can happen.

All I know is I truly believe we can win any match we play.

LOL!!!!!!

First of all in the last 10 years only 3 times have the top 3 finished with greater than 80 points. There is no way the top four teams will finish with 80+ points and 5th being 11 points behind. Joke.

Pfh, Amateurs.

They clearly don't understand how we work...

we will end up beating a team like City, then lose the next week to Hull, and finally, top it off with a loss at Stoke and lose out on 4th via goal difference.

Variables like Ramsey and Ozil going down for 2 lmonths and Van Persie doing an eye lid with Negredo and Yaya Toure banging heads out for 10 weeks.. Gerard to retire suddenly confessing to having aids Carragher gave him.

No way that 4th will get anywhere close to 81 points. If you ask me 76 points will get us 4th

Points might be wrong but looks pretty accurate to me.

Going to I credibly hard to finish 4th.

Us, pool, manure, Everton all going for it realistically.

Pool and Everton only have the league to focus on.

Pool are realistically 3 points ahead and we have to go to anfield.

Obviously give our all to get there but I won't blame the current management structure if we don't make it.

There's also the pressure factor as we approach the business end of the season.

City, Chelsea been there done that, I don't expect them to drop off. Arsenal usually finish strongly, but will that happen with the added pressure of actually being title contenders?

Liverpool and Everton, historically won titles but years ago. Relatively young and new managers need to deal with the pressure probably for the first time.

United, can finish top 4 but they need to turn it out around fast. Is not just lack of quality in their squad, they just don't look like a team anymore.

We are in the top 4 race but it is so hard to predict our results. Need our injured players back quickly and see where we are come Europa lge time. Throw in The fact we have a rookie manager and our next 5 games are all tough.

Where does the blame start and finish at our club is this something that can be pointed in the direction of upstairs.

Not sure it's really blame worthy.

As much as we think we are the greatest club in the world currently we are not in the 4 biggest clubs in our league in terms of: wages, budget, fan base, squad etc etc.

We have been punching a little above our weight for a few years now but with the scum and pool getting their act together we are further down the pecking order.

We are realistically the 6th biggest club in the league. Now sometimes we will be able to punch above that but consistently it will be very hard.

Not really sure we can blame anyone for that particularly.

To make a quantum leap forward we either need a cityesque investor or go the scum route of epic stadium etc.

Carragher, Sounness and Gerrard must have come up with these results.

Liverpool losing just one more game from now until the end of the campaign and even then it looks like the "expert" has looked back over it and thought, 'I can't have them going unbeaten, that's too obvious, I know, let's have them losing at Southampton'

They will finish below Man United and outside the top 4.

Sometimes is difficult to know where to start with us a couple of seasons ago we missed out on fourth cos Chelsea won the big one.
But in reality we should have nailed third as we were thirteen points clear but as usual the jelly spine mentality occurred again and we blew it again.
As you say Liverpool have come back but that was always going to happen I feel we have helped their progress a bit too easily imo I don't think we can attribute anything on bad luck in all honesty and as for a top six team yes we are but why do we have to keep excepting it all the time.
At some point Levy and enic cannot keep hiding and one day soon they will have to decide to stay or go.

we'll rack up a lot more than 30 points from last 17 games....
We play Citeh, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool in those 17 games.

I hope I am wrong, but it's not inconceivable we end up with no points out of those games, in which case it's 30 points from 12 games.

But equally as someone else has said we could easily beat some of the above and lose to the likes of West Ham or Hull.

So I like your optimism, but I think 30 points from the last 17 games is about right.
