Still don't think he has what it takes to manage a big club with ego and entitled fans that demanded instant success. They won't give him the time we afforded him. He needs at least another project club and win something actually to progress IMHO.

And I will be eager to see him at United.

You don't think we have entitled fans?

I think he’d improve United, and he’d have a better chance to win things given the money he’d be given to spend.

I’ve really been questioning since he left how good a football tactician he is though. Of course, everyone knows he has a really specific style, which fundamentally he sticks to, but it requires really young, energetic players to play it.

Did we just get stale or was he struggling to find solutions to this inflexibility? Or did other managers get smart to what he was doing?

Probably a mixture of the two, but how he gets on in his next job will certainly be interesting.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on at Utd. He's a better coach than Ole, and seems a good fit for the club, but he'll be the fourth manager to try his hand there since Fergie left. Poch may return Utd to their former glories, but it's more likely that he'll struggle just as good coaches like Jose and LVG did before him. Utd's problems run far deeper than whoever picks the team and puts the cones out.

I think Woodward has invested a lot personally in OGS, and if he sacks him, it'll fall on Woodward for doubling down on OGS in the first place. Reckon he'll still be in place by the start of next season unless Yanited take a serious slide in the coming months.

If he goes to UTD, it’ll be because they are falling even shorter of their ambitions than expected and hopefully mean we are above them, so I’m not too worried.

Loved him while he was here but ultimately the change was for the best, whatever happens next.

United tend to give their managers a season to try and establish themselves. Or at least until they can no longer qualify for Champions league football if thing's have been going badly. If they give Poch cash to spend and a full season then they should start to see results.

There’s gonna be so many jobs going this summer, he’ll have his pick. Potentially Juve, where the fans are starting to turn on Sarri, Dortmund, where Favre can’t get the defence right, Atletico, where Simeone seems like he’s having similar rebuld probs to Poch. Loads of top jobs.

I knew I will be quoted on this. Do you not think the proportion will be so much bigger from United fans? Just ask those whose thought Mourinho was crap when he won them the cups despite the adversities.

Actually think United fans have been extremely patient and supportive through this spell of them being shit.

Biesla is like his father, so I'm sure he saw him.

But Jesus and Toni are there too. Its totally to line them up to take over Man U in the summer. They just signed Bruno Fernandez for goodness sake. Ever since he had that lunch with Fergie, this has been nailed on.

He should have been our next Nicholson. Instead he's going to be their next Busby.

We're still just their feeder club.
Loved what he did for us but he had his limitations. His match planning and his in match changes of tactics left something to be desired. Mourinho has already shown what good planning and a willingness to adapt tactics during a match can achieve.

He won’t be given money to spend though, he will be given players and not necessarily the ones he wants

I agree if there's one area he can improve it's certainly the tactics side of his management. His in-game management/decisions were always pretty poor.

I not so sure Mourinho has demonstrated clear planning and tactics so far, but it is early days.
