Not sure we can get much more strength in depth than we have, it is motivating the ‘fringe’ players to perform that is the issue. Yesterday was similar to so many games from last year, when not a single player steps up and makes sure that he is not gonna make mistakes and make the right decisions. In some games you need one player to spark the rest of the team, yesterday they dragged each other down.

Fingers crossed for Dele, who on his day can be an outstanding footballer. Clive Allen's words are kind & hopeful but I'm pretty confident that once a player gets into Mourinho's dog house there ain't no easy way out!

I agree with Clive. Dele needs a fresh start, something to reset his mind and re-energize him. I wouldn't mind selling him and putting the money towards a CB. We have depth in midfield that can cover what Dele is currently providing.

My worry is that he’ll go to another EPL team and then start ripping it up, ala Salah, De Bruyne and Lukaku to name a few who Jose deemed not good enough.

If your eyes don’t deem Dele’s output not good enough then you need new glasses, it’s nothing to do with Jose taking a dislike to him.

Dele has played at best 10 decent games in the last 3 years (and Mourinho hasn't even been a year at the club), there is clearly something fundamentally wrong there.

Depends on the subjective 'easy'.

If Dele concentrated on being a footballer over a social media personality and looked like he was putting in the effort then I'm sure that would work. Unfortunately, neither have occurred, despite 12 months of constant and persistent warnings.

NDombele and GLC have both put in the effort and turned things around in that time.

The problem with this is it implies the problem is with Jose. It’s not. Dele has been poor since well before Jose even arrived. If he is in the doghouse (as opposed to simply not being picked on merit) he can hardly complain
