AVB rejects Spurs 'lies'

Former Chelsea manager plays down White Hart Lane links

Andre Villas-Boas has rejected recent reports linking him with the vacant manager's job at Tottenham Hotspur as 'lies'.

The former Chelsea boss is the odds-on favourite to be appointed at White Hart Lane following the shock departure of Harry Redknapp earlier this month.
Widespread reports suggested that the Portuguese was the leading choice of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy as the north London club look to secure regular UEFA Champions League football.
But there had been suggestions that Villas-Boas was unhappy at the way in which Spurs were considering other candidates, despite previously indicating he could be interested in the role.

Lies

And the former Porto boss left little area for doubt when asked about the Tottenham speculation by the Portuguese press.
He was quoted as saying by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo: "There is nothing, it is all lies."
Villas-Boas endured a brief and unhappy time in the Premier League with Chelsea, losing his job in March after some disappointing results and amid suggestions of dressing room unrest.
Spurs may now have to turn their attentions elsewhere as they search for a successor to Redknapp, who was axed after three-and-a-half years at the helm.

Meh. He could be talking about the rumours of being annoyed at us speaking to other candidates. He could just be using the standard line of 'no contact' to keep any deal he has with Chelsea in place (not that I believe that).

I'm 100000% Adiepf positive we've been in contact with him (except in this case I genuinely think we have rather than just bullshitting for attention like some tossers do).

That could mean anything.

It could be that someone has asked him, if the slapper he shagged last night gave him crabs.... "There is nothing, it is all lies."

Who knows who we will get, but the sooner the Tottenham summer circus is over the better

Got a Portuguese friend who gets the paper in PDF form every morning as he lives here, the original question asked is "Are you Tottenhams new manager" to which he replied "No it's always lies"

Can't people translate fucking properly?

I don't see why they've said "spurs lies". The club aren't lying about anything
