As a US Spurs supporter that often spends Christmas with my in laws in France I've bought tickets three times for matches during that holiday time. Granted this was at WHL and at Wembley so I haven't had the opportunity to try it at the new stadium yet.

I've waited until they've gone on general sale. The two times I did it for Boxing Day it was easy. Last year Boxing Day was away so for the Saturday after Xmas home match it was surprisingly much more difficult. After talking with some other fans on the Underground on our way there they said that they bought their tickets AS SOON AS they went on sale to the general public that morning and got some. I waited until morning in the States (but afternoon in London) and it was too late. I actually took a chance with somebody on Craigslist and luckily it worked out but doing Craigslist internationally had me pretty worried until my ticket actually scanned. Hope this helps.

Also, I can't believe I have to stick up for Baltimore but Fells Point is great for a couple of nights out. Inner Harbor is fine for one night too but pretty touristy. Both are safe as any normal big city.
My wife's from Baltimore, Ravens doing well so far.

I’m not from there. I just think it gets a bad rap. Ravens have been very impressive. Especially last weekend...not just winning, but how badly they beat Houston

Because 99% of people slagging it off have never even been to Baltimore and are basing their opinion entirely on what they've seen on The Wire.

How many games have gone on general sale since we moved into the new stadium?
I can't think of a single competitive one off the top of my head...

Off the top of my head I think there was one or two that opened up for members to purchase additional tickets, but I'm not sure if that was because it was general sale or not.

Newcastle game went general sale, a couple of others did too.

For example, Sheff Utd game went on general sale last week they just didnt advertise it.

On the week of a game definitely keep checking.

I must have missed the one's that did (y) - they don't even seem to release General Sale dates any more. The advice on here to just wait until tickets go on general sale seems a bit risky if this is the one chance to go to a game.

I agree that is bad advice on a one off occasion, far too stressful aswell.

Even if you don't get tickets for the game, if you are in Tottenham for a few days, I would definitely recommend the Stadium tour. Think they have tickets available for the 27th.

I chickened out and went ahead and paid for a membership so I could get an early crack at the available tickets. I'm glad I did. There are relatively few still available. Even if it goes to general sale, there are going to be very few tickets left, and even fewer that are not singles. As you said, it's one thing to gamble and wait if you have another chance for an upcoming match, but this is the only one that we have a chance to go to. Decided I didn't want to risk it.
