Italian papers claiming this today. Surely can't do worse than our lot?

The fact that he's being released mid-season should tell you everything you need to know about this idea.

If anyone can make it work Harry can.

Harry can make talented players who have a desire to play perform to their best.

I am not so sure he has a magic wand that can make a player past his prime who has lost his desire for football and is no longer even up to the demands of the far slower paced Seria A perform to anything like the standard required by us in our league.

I think it would be a total nightmare if we signed him and we should steer well clear.

No need to get desperate just because our strikers are firing blanks, we are still performing well and have a great spirit about the squad. Have some faith and stick with what is currently working, don't unbalance the harmony by bringing a has been in.

Am I wrong in thinking that if we tried to sign him now, the fact that he wasn't a free agent at the time the January transfer window closed means that he can't be treated as a "free transfer, can sign outside a window" case and that we would have to wait until the summer to sign him anway if we we interested?

If that is the case, I wouldn't really see any point in going for him, as - hopefully! - we will have far bigger fish to fry come the summer window.

We couldn't sign him until the summer, anyway, as to sign an out of contract player they have to have been out of contract during the window and you have to have a free space, neither of which hold true.

In the summer we've got to be looking at better targets.

On his day though, what a player he could have been.

He has been god damn terrible at roma, failed to score a single goal, or even look half decent, I'd rather play a kid from the acadamy, for I wouldn't be suprised if he is better then Adriano is these days

It's weird how he's just so plain bad now.

Didn't even know he was at Roma, thought he was happy back in Brazil?

I'd take him though, give him until the end of the season and see if Harry can do anything with him.

But as mentioned above, we cannot. Although would be cool if we somehow found a way...

Do I need to mention since moving to Roma he has taken a clean sweep of the worst player in Seria A, he has been so dire.

Me too, actually the likelyhood of Harry Kane being better than Adriano is pretty high right now.

I'd rather we sign Pele, he doesn't have a club right now either and is a similar distance away from his prime
