The Goat says Cardiff may be option

I thought we wouldnt sell because no one would be in for him in all honesty I think we will ask for £10mill + and I dont think any one would pay that

If Lennon goes we need Lamela + another winger. We can't go into another season short of wing cover, it always comes back to bite us.

If Lamela occupies the right side of a front three - then I can understand, but not sure I would get rid

As it stands Chadli will need time and Lennon can play left side - Townsend is up and down......jury still out IMHO

If we sign Lamela and the Bulgarian youngster mentioned previously then we could let both Lennon and Sigurdsson go, replacing them with players more suited to how we want to play.

Surely Lennon would be wanted by bigger clubs than Cardiff, as well.
Guaranteed Spurs starter for 6 years when fit.

Newcastle, Everton, Fulham, West Ham all of them should be after him surely?

Well first and foremost, he'll have to do damn well to win his place back from Townsend but unless we do go on a splurge and buy Lamela, Ljajic, Eriksen and Halilovic then Azza does have his uses and will be a valuable tool coming off the bench or featuring in cup matches.

Also, if he was up for sale then I'm sure more than Cardiff would be interested. Would imagine a Newcastle/Kinnear would be happy to pay handsomely for his services and I'm talking over £10million here.

He gives us another option if Townsend isn't working out. I'd like to see how Townsend does and how Lamela, if we sign him, settles and performs. If they both do well then think about entertaining offers for Lennon in January. Otherwise keep until the summer.

We still need someone else on the left to go along with Chadli so I think keeping Lennon at least until January is the best thing to do.

Would be madness to sell him IMO and I'd be shocked if we did.

There's been a couple of spells in the past 2 seasons when he's been out for a while and then people realise his value to the team. He's been badly missed during these times and we've been left unbalanced.

We need squad depth, there's nothing wrong with him having competition from Andros. That's a good thing. They could happily play together and switch wings if required on occasions.

I think we're on the verge of outgrowing Lennon and with the emergence of Townsend I no longer see a place for him in our squad (assuming we get in further reinforcements as I expect). That said, I'll also be pretty gutted to see him leave. More so than I would Bale in a way. I just can't little Aaron in another kit.

If he is to stay then he's going to need to carve out a niche for himself on the left imo, because Lamela (getting ahead of myself?) and Townsend should have the right wing sewn up. I have a feeling we'll be looking for a Willian alternative though so if that happens I don't even see room for him on the left.

Bigger and supposedly better signings than the ones we're after, and supposedly hotter prospects than Townsend, have failed to cut the mustard in the Premier League come the final account.

We know that Lennon can cut it at the top level. Moreover I'm concerned at the high level of turnover if we were to let him go.

And let's remember that while Andros was impressing for QPR, who got relegated, Lennon was impressing for us, who finished 5th. Andros is a welcome addition to the team. He does not make Lennon expendable and he has a way to go to match what we know we can rely on Aaron offering us.
