So it's ok to use the government scheme now as long as clubs top up their wages to 100%? I depends on whether the season finishes I suppose. It has to be a grey area if it doesn't finish.

Player Watch Player Watch: Harry Kane

Last week people were saying he should be keeping his head down and not doing any interviews.

Personally I couldn't give a shit if we miss out on a player or two because of this. I do give a shit about whether we'll still have a football club in a years time though. No, but some of the stadium debt was paid off using upfront payments from sponsors who are no longer receiving the...

It's also worth noting that a lot of our stadium debt was paid off by using upfront sponsorship payments. We're no longer playing matches so the sponsors aren't receiving the service they've paid for. If they suddenly demand some of that money back then we could be in big trouble.

    Have you missed football?

I haven't missed it that much, but living on my own it was one of the few things I looked forward to at the weekend. I agree, but the only way that will happen is if we stop paying to watch football. It will be interesting to see how many people do that once this is all over. Possibly a...

    2019/2020 Predictions

I can't believe no one had Global pandemic puts the entire country in lockdown and causes the football season to be suspended and possibly cancelled as their Outlandish Prediction. You lot need to up your game.

I doubt most of the others have got the same levels of debt as we currently have. Our loan repayments for the stadium were pretty much covered by our sponsorship deals, but if they've been suspended now....

It will be interesting to see if the club make up the 20% if the players reduce their wages. It could be part of the agreement from the players.

    The Greatest: Jimmy Greaves

It wasn't a disgraceful decision. Possibly wrong, but never disgraceful. From where the linesman was it looked in. We're still debating it over fifty years later, when he had one look at it without the benefit of slow motion replays: It didn't cross the line! It was in! I put this down...

Yes, we would have felt the effect already. No-one on here actually knows to what degree though. Is it just the loss of matchday revenue & ticket sales (over £1M per game), or have sponsors suspended payments, etc? We also need to plan for the loss of expected income which could be over £100M...

There are a lot of comments in here about players not doing the right thing, so I thought I'd put this in here as a reminder that they aren’t all selfish bastards that only look out for themselves: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52085903 Hopefully we'll get an announcement today that...

Absolute nonsense that our financials haven't been hit yet: Ticket sales Match day income TV money Prize money Cancelled concerts Etc. We need to look at the impact all of this will have on the club now. If we leave it too late to act we might not have a club to support next season and the...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - Groundhog Day you say? Groundhog Day you say?

It depends. Big clubs might have to pay back TV money, they might not get the prize money that they were expecting from the league. Clubs are asking players and staff to take pay cuts while this carries on. Can they really go out and spend millions on new players when they can't even afford...

I've just watched the Greavsie film on BT Sport. Very interesting and quite a bit there that I didn't know - like he played for Brentwood Town which is where I grew up.

Player Watch Player Watch: Harry Kane

That's because some people can see that there's a difference between being a feeder club and letting a player who has been in the team for seven years move on. Most players move clubs at some point in their career. It's part of football. If we sold Lo Celso in the summer that's being a...
