Would be amazed if Mourinho didn't stick Dier back in at DM.

    The England Thread

I think Foden, Mount, Maddison and Grealish are all fighting for the same place and at the moment I'd say Maddison and Grealish are the best options. Long term I think Foden will establish himself as first choice.

That would be ideal for January and then in the summer we can look to finish the rebuild. I had forgotten about Lobotka, how has he played this season?

    Time to drop the 4-2-3-1?

That's why I literally said we need 2 new full backs, a new dm and a right winger in the post you part quoted

    Time to drop the 4-2-3-1?

That is pretty much what I would like to see as well, except at full back I think it's vital to have like for like replacements. I would prefer to use Foyth and Davies centrally and then bring in players to suit our style. Atal, Aarons, Grimaldo and Sessegnon for example.

    Time to drop the 4-2-3-1?

With the players we have at the club, who look like they are part of the long term plans, 433 seems the best fit. For me Ndombele is the key and I think we need to build a system to suit, which means a midfield 3 with a defined holding player. Lo Celso, Dele, Winks and Sissoko are also more...

    Player Watch: Giovani Lo Celso

Poch really needs to move to a 433 with Lo Celso and Ndombele playing in front of a specialist DM. Add Atal and Sessegnon as full backs and we might start to look exciting again.

If Dele regains his form then definitely agree. For now Lamela starts if fit (big if unfortunately)

Lo Celso instead of Dele in the centre, Lamela on the right and Sessegnon at lb and we have the makings of a good team

    Player Watch: Victor Wanyama

I would like to see how Dier does given a run at CB. I'm not sure that's where he sees himself playing but is his best chance of playing regularly for Spurs and England.

    Player Watch: Giovani Lo Celso

I don't think you need to worry about physicality, I've no doubt he will be strong enough. He can be a tenacious fcker when he wants to be.

He also refuses to give them any game time to build up their fitness. No idea why we don't use the u23 matches to get players more up to speed.

Player Watch Player watch: Son Heung-min

They are setting a dangerous precedent with this ruling. Everytime a player is pushed over advertising boards or into the crowd can be construed as potentially dangerous, every shove at pace, every trip at pace. Any clash of heads where a player goes in slightly late. The Gomes arm to Sons face...

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

Eriksen is the player who makes us tick so it's no wonder we are playing so badly. The frustration is that Poch can't see it.

There needs to be a 30 second time limit when checking VAR, if you can't decide in that time then it's not clear and obvious.

I don't care how we win today as long as we win. Play ourselves into form.
